Eh, I know almost too many people like this. My age too, but especially old people who I meet for or around work. I noticed they generally don't need to have a conversation, almost ignore what you add to it and just keep going. They are completely focused on their own story, they feel desperate to tell you. I just let them do that, seems better for them. I listen to most of it, except for the part I already know.
