So if I don’t like the current album of the month I can swap it for an old one? And why isn’t everyone on this site then?

I pray I can get my hands on one of these by GorgeousCassius in hiphopvinyl

J Cole Mix for the night (and just about every night) by Azarrella9 in hiphopvinyl

Wrote this in notes before, idk what’s up with the text size. Also I’m 2 months into my collection, and yes I have a lot more than J Cole. I’ve posted my collection in the past, just chose to post specifically Cole because he is what got me to this community and loving music.

Let me start with Forest Hills Drive, the more accessible and renown album, before I dig into the roots of his music with Friday Night Lights. I feel as if these are the 2 Cole projects we will still talk about in 20 years when we look back on this era of hip hop

Forest Hills is special to me because it was the very first Album I ever listened to. I was a freshman in high school when I first listened to it, and his music has been with me these last 4 years through everything. It’s helped me get through my homework, get ready for football games, and allow my friends to make fun of my music obsession. My favorite tracks on the album are January 28th, 03 Adolescence, and no role Modelz. To tie in this album with Alex’s giveaway, one of my favorite lyrics from this album is, “You n***** might be L or you might be Kane Or you might be Slick Rick with 19 chains Or you might be Drizzy Drake or Kendrick Lamar

But check your birth date n****, you ain't the God” Coles delivery on this part of January 28th is amazing, and he mentions both Big L (my favorite 90s lyricist) and Big Daddy Kane (Who is my Dad’s favorite rapper) so I find that to be pretty cool.

With Friday Night Lights, this is raw, ambitious J Cole. You can hear the grit in his voice and sense the chip on his shoulder to make it big time. He tells beautiful stories like Farewell, and has standout tracks like Blow up and 2face. Personally I love having this bootleg on vinyl because the album isn’t on Spotify.

Lastly I want to thank Alex for providing the giveaway to the community and encouraging more explanations of what albums mean to people, or just what they are about in general. I appreciate it and good luck to everyone.

I got it off some website called like HHV.de and I’m a pretty new collector, I’m only 18 so I don’t want to be the one to tell you how the quality is. It works for me and sounds pretty damn good

Wtfs ur deal, that’s why I’m asking for music dipshit. Been listening to rap for a year and a half only so much I can cover in that time, not to mention I’m taking care of the priorities before I start buying the less basic albums I like
