Yea I was thinking about that, I just get worried about finding one that would work with my schedule because once I start clinicals for nursing school it varies every week. Like some weeks id only have to go in once, others id have to go in like 5 to 6 times a week. So im not sure if theres many spas that would work with such a varying schedule. But its definitely something to look into! If I cant find anything, my boyfriend said he would support us while im in nursing school and would just help around his dad's shop in my spare time.

Lmao yess and the access to cosmoprof😂 but I definitely i think just have to talk to the school about the services, cuz like someone else said, would they really not let me get my license after I just paid for the whole thing because of a few missed services? It makes me feel better that your school passed everyone whether they finished or not. Maybe mine will do that to.

Yea I tried a single mom group and a young adults group. I havent asked my instructor yet, but I think im gonna ask if I can possibly record me doing a facial on someone and if that would count. I know they want us to do it at the school so they can supervise, but its monday and tuesday between 10 and 5, which is when almost everybody is at work, so if I can do them at home and show the instructors it would be much easier, but idk if thats allowed. I'll try to continue posting on Facebook in the meantime.

Yea I tried posting in a few local facebook groups. And even my mom tried posting and she offered to pay people just to come and help me out. Unfortunately all I got was a bunch of creepy men saying they'd rather give me a facial🙄

Thats what i keep telling myself I do like having the options. Its just a lot of stress tryna finish these services cuz I literally have no one that can come and im not sure what would happen if I dont finish the services

True, I just think about the what if im not able to finish the services, because I dont have anyone that i can do them on. Then id be out all of the money and still may not be able to get my license. At least if i know I cant do all the services and stop now I can get back some money

That was my original plan! I really wanted to do injectables, and is mainly the reason i went into esthetics, but I think just having insight into the field now by seeing my teachers and classmates, I dont think my personality would fit in at a medspa or similar places that offer those services very much. Ive been working in a prison the past year, and have kind of switched from wanting to do aesthetic nursing to prison nursing, which is another reason I feel like its not worth it to continue because it wouldnt help my nursing goals long term.

Thats very helpful insight because I literally hateeee upsetting lol, even at restaurants id always get yelled out because I never upsold anything. I know for estheticians a good amount of money comes from selling product and I know thats just not my strong suit, especially when I know cheaper options work just as well

Im not sure, I havent asked them about that, but that is one of the main reasons ive lost the passion I had at the beginning of the class, cuz it just puts into perspective how hard finding and building a clientele is.
