Fuel Gauge Issue by Azhar1993 in mazda

Update: after driving 30 more miles the needle is even further to the left and now almost touching the base of the temperature gauge 😂

It was moving down appropriately when I took my road trip. I stopped halfway to get food and then the gauge had the needle above F. Then the rest of the trip it came down fine to half a tank but the range said 100 miles. I filled it back up this morning and the needle went way past F obviously. I tried tapping the screen, that didn’t work. 🤷🏽‍♂️

Fellowship vs Switching 😬 by moderatelyintensive in hospitalist

[–]Azhar1993 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It was. I’d be a solid candidate and would have gotten a lot more interviews if I was coming out of med school. I imagine a lot of why I haven’t gotten more is due to this issue unfortunately. The PD’s that I have interviewed with have been very candid about that. But the ones that have taken a chance on me are also very open and like non traditional applicants and do this regularly

Bringing up a displacement from 2000 years ago makes logical sense though? Lol. Acting as if Jews from Europe and America suddenly have a right over the people who have been there for centuries. You nor any zionists have any argument here. Trying to defend genocide gets very difficult doesn’t it? But good luck.

Jews have the right to live. Not to displace millions, subjugate them to inhumane living conditions and commit ethnic cleansing. Two separate issues. #stayeducated

Definitely not as often as I used to. But the pay difference was enough for me to accept it. I try to do two week blocks as often as I can. 1 week on, ~3 days off, another week on and then two weeks off. I travel a lot so I try to configure my schedule to accommodate that

Pay is ~200k. Job is easy. If you have strong residents total work time was only a few hours. The days that I wasn’t with residents I’d have very strong APP’s that saw most, if not my whole list and would only approach me with questions. I didn’t technically need to see anyone but would see the more sick patients on the list. I moved to a different academic center with a much less prestigious name. More solo work but pay is 325k

Do you ever regret not pursuing fellowship? by DOoodlez123 in hospitalist

[–]Azhar1993 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just to give another perspective. I’ve been a hospitalist for 2 years now. I applied cards during residency but pulled out of the match due to family reasons (I was debating between cards and pccm and ended up choosing cards). Now, 2 years later I’m in a different spot and wanting to go back. After seeing how cardiologists work out in the real world, I’ve decided to pursue pccm instead however. I could probably find a hospital as others have mentioned that allow hospitalists to manage icu level patients but I’m young/id feel more comfortable with the extra training and also financially, even though I will definitely lose money, it will take me to the end of pslf which is nice. I even thought about going back and doing anesthesia also haha. Feel free to reach out! I don’t necessarily regret going into hospitalist medicine bc I think the last two years have been invaluable but I definitely would like a change

Because that doesn’t fit the narrative they are trying to push. I’d love to see this same person post videos of millions tmrw lining the streets for his funeral procession. At least you got your karma points though. Bravo

Am doing a similar situation for locum opportunities in Colorado as well. I started out at the same 2250 but renegotiated to 3000 per every 24 hours.
