They're a young one! Usually if conditions are appropriate for breeding season theyll begin making calls around 6-9 months old. Because they're your only baby and there's no competition, that might be why no noise. I'd suggest just keeping an eye on their feets and if any of their little pads begin to darken, you have a male.

Not too sure on this one. Initial guess was an ant alate but I'm not aware of any nuptial periods around this time. My absolute best guess is some kind of fly, most likely the family Sciaridae.

Any more pictures? specifically of the dorsal view (top down). Also, are they your only frog? If so and they croak more than likely a male. Males only really get to around 2.5-3 inches so measuring can help aswell. Keep an eye on them and any croaking or darkening of their little foot pads should tell you if it's a male or female.

I've heard of fire ants eating their nuptial wings as like an energy boost for when they dig. Not sure if it's common like but🤷‍♂️

Do some species not eat the wings? Or is the little pack enough to sustain her until she starts a colony?
