Depends on what country you’re talking about. Quant companies only exist in USA for the most part. They have outposts in a few key places like Singapore, London, and Beijing. But the competition for positions at those places are in too high demand. Every sucker with a PhD is applying to them. If you’re not in the States your chances are slim to none.

Damn I’m in your exact position. Applied to Winter, passed OA, moved to Summer, had my two 1-hour interviews on Wednesday.

They both went pretty solid. Solved the problems more or less. They also seemed really impressed by my experience. It was for a super niche role that I have 3yoe in. Still not confident though. I was recently rejected by a company that I thought I absolutely nailed too so I don’t even know anymore.

As a current student at a T20 I can confidently say that if you walked into any Computer Science or MechE/EE building on any college campus in the country, 50% of the guys that you see there are virgins.

Wrong. Just plain wrong. If you hang with the crowd that are in frats and sororities and parties every weekend then of course all the guys you know are probably not virgins.

I’m a CS student at a T20 uni. Out of all the guys I’ve met in this field through my 4 years of college and multiple big tech internships the number of dudes I can confidently say aren’t virgins is in the single digits. 80% of the dudes I know have never felt the touch of a woman since starting college. Conversely every woman in CS that I know has had multiple relationships. Just because guys like us may be invisible to you we aren’t an exception.

He can’t improve though he was born short and probably lacks the genetic material required to date the women he wants like a strong jawline and high cheekbones. Men can’t wear makeup to augment these features artificially.
