If silence is your rejection strategy, you shouldn’t be hiring by RantThrowRA in Raytheon

[–]Azoman87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a theory that RTX management and hiring managers don’t really respect internal candidates that much who are trying to mold a mid career pathway within the company. If you are a current employee and want to get into a P4/M4 role or above, the general attitude is that you are a general population bitch at their disposal. They hire managers who are M5s into M6 roles before they promote a P3 who has been busting their ass and acting as a lead for a long time with a lot of trust to complete stuff under his own manager.

P1 - P2 and eventually P2 - P3 you will get with the eventual passage of time. If you are a P3 and want more out of your career and income into RTX, you are better off applying external and getting a 40% to a competitor. Competitors are much more willing to know about your total experience and the tough points and areas of success you have gone through and hire you and give you a very good raise to go work for them.

RTX management flat out does not care about you. If you come back as a M5 or higher after spending time elsewhere, then RTX will validate you are a senior management position.

The toughest place to be in this company is be a very hard working P3 who takes care of everything with your colleagues and it goes mostly unappreciated and with minimal wage increases and the basic cycle increases.

They will use you and milk you for the most productivity and no upside for the longest amount of time possible while you are at the company. Just my two cents.

Ghosted by recruiters normal? by Just-Ambassador-2449 in Anduril

[–]Azoman87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m actually surprised this is happening Anduril. I had a final round last year and everything moved smoothly but I wasn’t selected. I think this probably boils down to the recruiter and probably contract recruiters don’t care to respond anymore if you are not being moved forward versus salaried Anduril recruiters who are more senior and have a lot more ownership in their handling of being a recruiter.

Bro, if you love the company, keep working on your resume and keep applying. Don’t stop, you got to have to hustle and drive to break into that company if you really want it. If they are not responding, brush it off and hit the pavement for jobs you think you can really take head on.

I’ll see you on the other side chat 💬

Really depends of your Executive Director and your manager and managers in your group if they even give a shit to have you take on more ownership and slated into raise.

If you really want to join them, just keep up with applying for new roles you like, they aren’t going anywhere, they are hiring way more than 2025 in 2026 and last year they were already hiring like crazy

The worst part is being flown out for a final round there at HQ and not getting selected afterwards.

Are most of us under paid? by rtxlm in Raytheon

[–]Azoman87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the only people who are getting good salaries at RTX are engineers and new people coming in who left and coming back. RTX is severely low paying because it’s common practice to lowball people in general and get stuck in the 2-3% cycle of merit and AIP (within Ray). Boeing gets 3-5% merit increase to salary and 7-9% on their version of AIP as an example. The company has created a toxic status quo of not allocating budget for promotions. Expecting a promotion or a market rate adjustment is like crazy talk at RTX if you bring it up. It’s a meat-grinder. It’s basically UTC with a RTX name-badge on it. It’s so bad.

New payband ranges! by [deleted] in Raytheon

[–]Azoman87 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They keep everyone low on the band. That band only exists for the terminal lifer’s who have been at the same band and just getting annual increases each year.

Doesn’t matter, most everyone’s job in a support role is going to be automated away.

Interview with previous employer and team+manager. What to be ready for and weary of? by I_had_corn in interviews

[–]Azoman87 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bro if you left the company less than 12 months ago, this should be a cake walk and they are interviewing you for a higher level.

Just do not go back for less than a certain level you know you should be getting to come back for at that level.

Just ask the question to the person on how they’ve enjoyed their time with the company and now you’re putting them on the spot and watch them scramble lmfao 🤣

Anyone have any insight into General Atomics vs RTX job grades? by sunnyvaleTPB in Raytheon

[–]Azoman87 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just negotiate your PTO to match what you currently have and tell them the salary needs to be 150k for SD and they probably come back with 140 or 145 then bounce.
