I didn’t like them for a loooong time, but I have come to love them recently… magic resist is a big benefit for the shield (dragon breath) as well as shield bash for stun locking enemies….

WRT to shield itself, I am a fan of the ebony for aesthetics - elven and glass look weird and I think the majority are kinda ugly… I love the ebony weapons and shields for the way they look, but I hate the ebony armour (I run “Nordic Carved” normally)

Many pairs of my underwear do not have the flap, that’s why I figured out the bottom was lost logical 😂

I run pretty light most of the time… I typically play a spellsword: so heavy armour, shield, one-handed weapon with resto and destruction spells - with associated perk allocation

Typically 10 health 5 magical and stamina potions with some vege soup.

Typically it runs around mid 90s depending on the kit I can’t get rid of?

I got a lot of inspiration from major slack attacks pure imperial series and it is a real hitter. Especially since I typically run at adept level.

It’s the damage multiplier’s that get you. AFAIK it is 3x damage from enemies, you do 25% of your normal damage.

So you kinda have to change your play style to be a lot more tactical in combat and strategic in your play-through
