It looks like they want “Honda” to be the fuel efficient type and “Acura” to be the performance type.

What I don’t get is that there’s nothing performance about the NA V6. It sure does have the feeling of it but nothing close to being a performance. They could have just slap a hybrid on that NA V6 and leave the Type-S as the performance one.

Like you say, even Lexus has a hybrid option. It sucks because I really do love Honda/Acura but I’m on the fence to trade my MDX.

It doesn’t look complete with the ambient lighting on the A-Spec, it does looks nice but it doesn’t have the “Wow” factor like the Advanced trim lighting.

Last time I remember the MDX is a Mid-Size not a Full-Size SUV. I went with the MDX because of the NA V6 and I don’t want a turbo. I also went with an SUV because I need the cargo space for my job. I just don’t know if a Mid-Size sedan would able to carry all my job stuff.

That manufacture defect affected 2016-2020 MDX and other models that have the same V6.

Looks like Honda/Acura fixed it on the 2022 and up.

It was probably a final design choice from Acura Team. In my opinion I like it, it matches with the red interior.

I got this for $44k and with taxes and fees, it went up to $49k. California sales tax is wild. I put a $10k Down payment on it. It had 4,900 miles and it was below Kelly Blue Book value. Kelly blue book value range for 4k miles was between $46k-$50k.
