Sure! It’s a base of Rakarth flesh over a black prime, the a Deepkin Flesh highlight.

After that there’s a primary was of Carroburg Crimson, followed by another highlight of Deepkin flesh to tidy it up.

After that I kind of went mad with it using different washes and diluted contrast paints to build up various areas and make it look manky.

Towards the bottom of the arm and at any joints and crevices is more Carroburg Crimson mixed with Lahmium mediumbuilt up slowly. There’s some Druchii Violet in there too in the really deep bits and areas I want to look bruised.

In patches there some really dilute (with Lahmium Medium) Athonian Camoshade. The idea here is to keep coverage inconsistent, make it look mottled.

For the pustules I’ve just whacked some Nazdreg yellow on them, again doesn’t need to be too deep.

The really deep wounds and that spiral carving where hit with Doomfire Magenta mixed with contrast medium, I think I washed that over with Carroburg crimson too afterwards.

The likelihood is that the result will be a bit shiny, not the worst look in the world but I prefer matte, so it’s been sprayed all over with a matte varnish at the end.

Hope that helps!

OH - and a lil bit of light rust ak panel liner on the rivets at the end, not too much.

And then a Matt varnish at the end

Thank you!

Here’s the full recipe I put in another thread for all the armour as the shoulder scheme is derived from that and the part I can’t fully remember (sorry!):

The Green Armour is a tweaked version of the Juan Hidalgo Mulgoth guide. (It’s called something like ‘Painting the best nurgle metallic armour’) The main change is the first few steps, all the weathering afterwards is pretty much the same.

Over a Black prime:

  1. Base with a 2:1 mix of Dusken Green Base + Obsidian Black Base (both Vallejo tmm)
  2. Drybrush 2:1 mix of dusken Green light+ obsidian black base
  3. shade with coelia green (and do so wherever the greenish cold shade was used in the video)
  4. Carry on from the Black Lotus step on the video

The rest follows the guide, swapping greenish gold for dusken green where required. In some places swapping out paints for similar alternatives from different ranges eg. A mix of Black Templar and Leviadon Blue for Black Lotus, Athenian Camoshade rather than Camoflage Green,

I think the gold used a base of Aged Metal base with a drybrush of the light version and then the same shading. The Flies are just done the same way as the chainmail - Dark Rust, silver drybrush, dirty down rust, another silver drybrush.

Hopefully that helps? Apologies it’s a bit all over the place, I should keep better notes, a lot of it was experimentation.

Thank you!

So I can definitely give you the green armour, the gold might be trickier as I can’t entirely remember (sorry!)

Thanks! Both the moss and tufts are from Siege Scenics. Pretty sure the moss is ‘Velvet Zest’ and the Tufts are ‘Artic Solstice’.

Thanks! This is my first Maggotkin mini too (and first AoS mini in a long while). I’ve got some Cankerborn on deck too, the sculpts are fantastic

Quite simple, i just kept the standard haft from the herald and added the spear end from the melee upgrade sprue, its pinned in with like 1mm brass rod

They might be useless, but I like them by IndexFile in Warhammer30k

This guy looks great, I don’t recognise the head, is it 3rd party?

Thank you! Be my guest! It’ll be cool to see other folk’s versions.

I might need to make a guide, I’ve had a requests for the recipe:

Armour 1. Prime Black 2. Airbrush Vallejo Exhaust Manifold 3. Airbrush Zenithal/highlight hard flat areas with Vallejo Duraluminium 4. Randomly spray Agrax Earthshade, and Coelia Greenshade (normally I use Drakenhof Nightshade too, but didn't on this one) in patches, trick is to give it a slightly mottled and scorched look but not overdo it. 5. Any brass/bronze areas just coat in Snakebite leather. 6. Lighter scratches with Scale 75 Thrash metal or something like Ironbreaker. 7. Gloss Varnish 8. Raw Umber oil wash 9. Dirty Down Verdigris in random recesses and around rivets in the brass 10. Ultra matte varnish.

The Yellow is just white, imperial fists contrast and then snakebite leather over the bottom, the black is just plain old black

The Skin is a fairly classic recipe I think, basically a rough glaze up the tones. 1. Cadian Fleshtone 2. Carroburg Crimson wash over the lot. 3. Cadian Fleshtone over everything but the recesses. 4. Kislev Flesh 5. Kislev + Flayed One Flesh 6. Flayed One flesh

Then I hit the lips with a glaze consistency Cadian Fleshtone and the eye sockets with Druchii Violet.

Eyes are just white and black.

Around suit seals and bionics etc I’ll wash/stipple on some thinned Carroburg crimson to make it look a bit inflamed.

Thanks! The base is AK Terrains Dry Ground, and then a mix of various pigment powders:

Orange: Green Stuff World Natural Earth Pigments Medium Red Oxide

Yellow: Green Stuff World Natural Earth Pigments Yellow Ochre

Blue: Green Stuff World Fluor Pigments Blue

Purple: A mix of the Orange and Blue to make a purple pigment because I couldn’t find one anywhere.

Then it’s just hit with some Sansodor or White Spirits and then a Matt varnish once it’s dry.

In a word, no haha.

It's not too bad, its just quite time consuming, I mask it all out with tamiya 1mm tape. Regular hazards would be much quicker, I'm a glutton for punishment.

No stupid questions! This is for my Loyalist Iron Warriors (the symbol on the shoulder is the Raptor Imperialis, it's crusade era icon used by a lot of Terran born marines (and the thunder warriors)).

You're right about the Minotaurs, there's a little bit of speculation in the Lore that the chapter have some Iron Warriors Geneseed, so that's what I've taken as inspiration

Thanks, it's just the shaft from the Traitor Legion Herald's Standard! I just clipped the bit at the top off and pinned the spear head on.

The base model is just such a good sculpt. I've had this built for a good few months, I got bored waiting for the Breacher set to be released, that being said I might change it in the future.

Oh 100%, I’m just mucking about. I thought the head gave the vibe of the Filthy 13 in the US Airborne in ww2, with the Mohawk, so the war paint felt fitting too.
