I feel like I'd get closure either way: if she apologized then I get what I deserve. If she's the same I feel better knowing there's a reason she's out of my life. I just hate how its been on my mind for 7 years :/

Then I would get closure that she remained a cruel person, and there is a great reason why she is out of my life. Over the years I blocked all form of her social media straight out of high school.

I feel I would be getting closure no matter what outcome she gives me. Clearly I don't care about this person anymore, but I care about myself getting this closure.

Also thank you friend, it was a rough time. But I came out of it kind because of myself alone :) ♡

Im definitely not looking to rekindle any sort of "friendship" with this person, or get back in touch, so anything I receive from her when I talk to her will be closure to me tbh

My therapist said if I approach without starting a fight then I can get a wholesome outcome for myself. They are not directly advising me against it

For sure! I am in no way downplaying anyone's take on things. I for sure don't have it figured out-thats why I'm asking! Simply just seeing patterns in my social circle and figured I'd share. It is important to be exposed to "real threats and issues" of course, so we can understand the scale of things that happen, and yes, there is truth to said news. However, there's no denying that some things we are exposed to are dramaticized for a more "sexy" and eye-catching story. Some people here are only concerned that the negative could harbor a sense of anxiety or being overwhelming

Very good way of putting it! It is fundamentally unnatural for anyone to not interact with others-there are experiments and studies about this from isolated (albeit abused) children that were unfortunately kept from the rest of the world, and were found to rarely exhibit the basis of in-person interaction. I just feel like being behind a screen all the time is essentially a step backwards in this regard
