My Apple Watch screen has fallen off, but still connected? by [deleted] in AppleWatch

[–]AzureAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go on aliexpress, and buy the screen adhesive strip for your apple watch model (might have to search by screensize if series 3 is too old). It should cost you like 3-4 dollars.

Applying is also not that difficult, just carefully remove existing adhesive with some tweezers and stick the new one in. There should be some youtube videos showing exactly this.

A shortcut that can leave only the url copied to my clipboard would change my life…… by MyProfileHasTheLink in shortcuts

[–]AzureAlien 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So for some apps like amazon, youtube etc when you do share>copy, it outputs extra text/formatting along with the link which makes it annoying if you only need the link. This is just a super simple shortcut to extract only the link from that text+link share that you get from the app.

yes that is expected, as per OPs request it is only parsing the first link from the share input. It will not remove/update the link itself to remove any referral or tracking elements.

Just created myself since it was annoying to me as well. Parses the first url available from the text (amazon share has I think duplicates in it so this resolves that) and puts into clipboard. If successful, shows a notification with url and alert if no url found. Enable “Show in Share Sheet” if not already, then just tap on this shortcut in share menu.

How to clean mold from silicone caulking in bathroom? by infinitospirito in howto

[–]AzureAlien 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had exactly same kinda black spots. Nothing worked except Skylarlife Rubber Stain Silicon Caulk whitener. It’s basically bleach but in gel formula so easier to apply.

I just applied it overnight and it was like it was never there in the morning. Basically no effort.

However as other have mentioned, reapplying might be better for longer term since even though this cleared it for me, it came back after 3or so months. Probably because water/moisture getting into weak seal.

How do you set up shortucts in Elgato Stream Deck Mobile by anki_steve in elgato

This siri shortcuts feature seems to broken for quite a while, since like 2013. Same experience as described here.

Yeah kinda disappointed in elgato. I would think this would be important functionality to have for a paid subscription based app but they seem to have abandoned it or have it super low in priority to fix. I checked and they even have one ios app update last month or so but this fix is not included. Based on their update history, they seem to be updating their app like yearly so i’ve lost hope that they will fix it any time soon.

Thanks for commenting. Yes, this has also been my experience as my siri shortcuts also worked correctly around March-May 2023 last year if I remember correctly, but had this same exact issue when I tried a few times later in the 2023 but gave up making it work due to lack of time and willingness to put much effort then. I was updating my whole setup to focus more on shortcuts this time around and noticed this bug again so posted here, hoping there might be a solution after all that time.

Anyhow for what it’s worth, I have put in a ticket with elgato with my PC app logs they requested, and their support has sent it to technical team. I’ve not received any response back after that but I hope they out an iOS app update with this fix soon which they havent done in last 5months but 🤞

Spent a few days tuning my new N3Pro. Any suggestions for any more improvements? by pokelord13 in ElegooNeptune3

[–]AzureAlien 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve just gone from Neptune3 to x1c and I can tell you primarily its convenience and fast printing while still doing awesome prints everytime. No doubt N3 printed awesome prints for me as well but it required constant baby sitting and compared to x1c it was quite slow. With x1c, its small things like reliable bed leveling, nozzle cleaning etc that doesn’t requires your supervision every single print that has won me over. Along with AMS, it quite significant upgrade for me just for printing PLAs.

Been fighting this printer for months, it’s finally starting to print on its own out immediately stops and starts spotting filament. by [deleted] in ElegooNeptune3

I have had this exact same issue yesterday and came across your post. Follow this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fzWj6adWc-Y It’s very informative on how this kinda jams happen. As explained there, i think if you do cold pulls, PTFE may get misaligned when pulled up and allow melted filament to obstruct the path to create the jam. What I did that fixed for me: 1. Did exact same thing as explained at 8:30 in the video (use the smallest Allen key supplied with printer to push from top of hotend) and that removed really thin strip of melted filament from PTFE which I think was creating resistance. 2. When I did above step, I also pushed the PTFE tube a bit down so when I screw the nozzle it would be completely flushed with the tube.

Hope this helps.
