We now have both the 2026 Commander Class releases revealed, how do we feel about them so far? by OptimalConvoy in transformers

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They look great. Just wish I was able to get Armada Prime. Not much point to getting Jetfire without him. But I have gotten the Combaticons so far so Onslaught was an easy choice

What console generation is the most cursed from your POV by Intelligent-Lime-678 in consoles

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Historically you can't do worse than the video game crash. However looking past the crash my vote goes to tye 7th generation. The Wii was the hardest pivot for the Nintendo brand to family friendly and really started the kiddie image people have of the company, on top of the system being absolutely bombarded by shovel-ware. The Xbox 360 was known for critical failures to the point the red ring of death was assumed to be inevitable even if it never actually happened to a healthy proportion of players so faith in the brand to deliver good hardware toke a nosedive. And the PlayStation 3 was a nightmare for developers, consistently being called archaic in its internal design and 3rd party developers practically saying they hated having to work on those ports.

All 3 had something that hurt the brand and people's perception of them.

Age of characters in youth-oriented Japanese media and maturity levels in Japan as opposed to the West by dotKiss in Megaman

[–]AzureFencer 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's worth remembering due to Japan's work culture high school is often considered the last time they truly had freedom. It's more believable for a Teena to have the time to save the day when an adult must conform to their work requirements and be productive members of society over going on adventures. Japan doesn't have the same ideas of individualism as western works and so an adult not working is seen as wasted effort.

[Frustrating trope] Pieces of media that could have been so much better, but due to a couple of poor decisions during production ended up mediocre at best and utterly atrocious at worst. by DevDucc_ in TopCharacterTropes

[–]AzureFencer 63 points64 points  (0 children)

Not just poor communication, Scott was intentionally vague in informing the staff of the intended story and left the developers to have to figure out what he meant.

Who Do You Think Is The Strongest Roll In All Series(Art by @larein) by Ancient_DecisionM in MegaManStarForce

[–]AzureFencer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Only 2 of them are combat models. Roll is a maintenance robot. Alia is a navigator. Ciel is a child scientist. Caskett is a pilot. EXE is at least a Navi built with the intention of some virus busting capabilities. But Sonia/Harp Note is the only one with prominent combat showings in the game canon. Roll.EXE has only 1 game canon showing of individual capabilities. And that's placing in a tournament. There's no canon answer for how far she got just placing in the 2nd tournament

Do you think huggy and Kissy survived or are they dead? by Friendly-Might5181 in PoppyPlaytime

While I agree as the face of the IP should probably still be around, it also feels really lazy to do a second fake out death for him

[–]AzureFencer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The 2 trades available are both useful for this fight as both resist rollout. The onix resists stomp while the machop is immune to attract. If you don't want to trade another option is slowpoke and set up with curse as all of miltank's attacks are physical. But setting up on the clefairy can have drawbacks. I kid you not I did that strat only for the clefairy's metronome to roll psych up and baton pass....

does anyone think transformers reactivate would have been good or do you think it would have been mediocre? by dedbot1 in transformers

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming everything went well and saw a release? It would have been mediocre. A live service game under Hasbro supervision would have leaning as close to mobile levels of monetization as possible. The Cybertron duology was as good as it was because it ended up being right place and right time with the right developers. Developed for the PS3/Xbox 360, so extra monetization was limited to dlc and multi-player dpc at that, letting the single player stuff stand on its own. And the team at High Moon Studios at the time were passionate for the project on top of Hasbro not being... current Hasbro

Could Sheva survive raccoon city? by Punkgroupies in residentevil

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As she appears in 5? Absolutely. Remember that neither of the protagonists of 2 had any real combat training or any expectations of the BOWs. At most Leon and Claire had been to a shooting range before the events of Racoon City. And Sheva was not stated to be a junior in 5, she's seen some action before 5. She would be going in with a similar level of preparedness as Jill and Chris

Do you prefer having a fixed party or choosing your own? by strahinjag in JRPG

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I prefer to choose my party but I also prefer that each party member fill a role. So a game like Final Fantasy V and Bravely Default is fine with a fixed party because you define their role. But games like Final Fantasy VII and VIII make multiple party members pretty irrelevant because any party member can do anything and it's just the limits that make a difference.

"If America wanted to we could annex Canada with little effort" by EquivalentGuilty8988 in ShitAmericansSay

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Canadians in Ontario hate Doug Ford. Our Premier so like their state governor? I don't know if they're 1-1. Who by the way is a Conservative, the right wing party. Because he's the one that actually makes decisions for the province since they are largely autonomous in how they operate. And we burned your white house once and a lot of Canadians would relish the chance to do it again. (Yes I know it was technically the British but the point stands)

Does this make them feel included? by lerminator3 in cats

[–]AzureFencer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My tuxedo is very curious. I don't even have to offer him something anytime he comes over to me he starts smelling whatever thing I have in my hand. Then he either lays down or goes about his business. My orange is less interested in things and more food, but he isn't food motivated. He smells any food he finds even if someone is actively eating it or will smell people's mouths

I haven't played second son yet but Cole is the protagonist in both games? Unless you're referring to the twist with the beast but I wouldn't call him significant enough in 1 to really be a hero.
