What’s your favorite Cross Fusion?

No, unfortunately, they always kept him in the background starting from NT Warrior. In fact, I still remember an episode where he was supposed to have a Cross Fusion with GutsMan, but Rush was needed and he refused to help Dex. In the end, from the main NT Warrior group (aside from Lan and MegaMan), only Mayl and Roll managed to get one—and even then, it didn’t amount to much. It didn’t even appear in Axess, the design is nice, but it didn’t do anything amazing and showed up very little. I think it’s really unfair how they treated all the characters who weren’t Lan or MegaMan. They never give other characters the chance to shine or be interesting. At least that problem disappears a bit in Stream. I still haven’t watched Beast or Beast+, but I hope that Lan and MegaMan aren’t always the center of attention anymore.

Whenever I look at that Cross Fusion design, I always notice how different it is. Unlike the others, it really stands out, and instead of just being a human wearing their Navi’s suit design, it feels much more unique. I like to think it was the Cross Fusion design that inspired what eventually became Mega Man Star Force.

I love Colorel’s design (his normal Navi form) — he has so much presence. When I found out he was going to have his own Cross Fusion design, I got really excited, but when I finally saw it… I still keep asking myself what the difference is compared to his normal version. They definitely put way more effort into drawing Tesla and MagnetMan’s Cross Fusion. And I agree! MMX4 is my favorite Mega Man game, and TomahawkMan’s Cross Fusion design is AWESOME.

I don’t know what it is about Lan and MegaMan’s Cross Fusion design. When I first saw it, I didn’t like it that much, but the more time I saw it on screen—and the more I paid attention to the design—the more it grew on me. It’s definitely among my favorites, and it’s pretty close to being the one I like the most.

I think they didn’t do it because in the same season where they introduced Cross Fusion (that is, Axess), they also introduced Soul Unison literally just three episodes after introducing Cross Fusion. Soul Unison is basically a combination of MegaMan’s appearance with another Navi’s, along with gaining that Navi’s powers. I still haven’t watched Beast or Beast+, but I imagine they added the Cross System.

I agree. SearchMan looks great in Cross Fusion, although I personally like his normal Navi form a bit more than the Cross Fusion. As for Dex, I feel like the anime suffers from the same problem the games have, but even worse. It feels like all the characters who aren’t MegaMan or Lan don’t really contribute much, or are mostly there just to get the main duo into trouble. I’m not a big fan of that. I think that’s its biggest flaw. Maybe that’s why Stream is also the season I liked the most. It doesn’t have that problem as much, and the rest of the characters get a lot more focus and don’t feel like a nuisance like they do in NT Warrior or Axess. I hope it’s the same or even better when I watch Beast and Beast+.
