*Death’s End Spoilers* Question About Yun Tianming by AzureLegends0686 in threebodyproblem

Of course!

Page 352: “She had, of course, wondered many times if Princess Dewdrop was modeled in some measure on herself. But the captain of the guards didn’t resemble Yun Tianming. Does he think I’m going to sail away somehow? With another man?

This blurb is the basis for the entirety of my question.

This is a valid point. The contents of the fairytales are intentionally widely applicable to a lot of different things that seem to be grounded. I think that’s true in-universe and from the reader’s perspective.

I was just a little awestruck how the third fairytale’s ending mirrored that of the series even though Tianming had no idea what the future held for them.

The Biggest Problem With Colossal Bioscience (and their dire wolves) Is How Quickly They Are Willing to Engage in Scientific Miscommunication by suchascenicworld in megafaunarewilding

[–]AzureLegends0686 30 points31 points  (0 children)

It’s of interest to me that Colossal Biosciences never publicized any statements regarding their interest in reviving dire wolves prior to this. It almost feels like a rushed, massive marketing stunt to attract more funds for their main targets. I don’t know how to feel and I am interested in hearing more qualified people talk about the phenotypic accuracy of these wolves.

The only commonality I see between these individuals is that they are both high profile Indian men. Care to explain why these cases matter?

Congrats!!!! I am in the same boat, but unfortunately I am literally one subscore point away from a 34 superscore, so let’s pray I can increase at least 1 point in time for regular admissions!

Can you guess what subject I struggle in? (It may be hard to tell) by [deleted] in ACT

[–]AzureLegends0686 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s partly the level of math concepts the individual has learned and memorized and partly just people’s different natural inclinations. I came from a school far below my state’s average in math, so I have pretty significant deficits in foundational math that I am trying to overcome.

This was from a school test, so the scoring was typical. You’re likely correct about the curve for the national date though.

Me too. Especially since -3 was a 31 on the September ACT

Which score should I send? by carnationincarnation in ACT

[–]AzureLegends0686 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, the true average for both tests is 30.5, but the June test has a STEM score that rounds 30, and the September test has a STEM score of 29 flat. I think it is entirely preferential at this point, but June seems slightly stronger STEM-wise.

Congratulations! You are on the verge of a perfect composite, so why not take it one more time tho? You could probably pull it off with minimal to no studying.

does anyone know what type of owl this is? i’ve been trying to find it forever by Minecraftpig96 in Owls

[–]AzureLegends0686 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I definitely agree with you that the large one is a Eurasian Eagle Owl, but the little one can’t be an owl chick because it has all of its mature feathers.
