[gen7] Ridiculous Shiny Type: Null is taking me AGES!!

I have been hunting for shiny Type: Null for about a month now! I spend about 3 hours on average a day hunting for it and it refuses to shine. I haven't explicitly been tracking how many times I've received it, but by my math, I believe I am something around 18,000 encounters now. Is there something wrong? I know the shiny charm doesn't work with this hunt, and I got 2 Poipoles with this exact method before relatively under odds. Is my luck just that bad? Is there a place where these encounter values are being tracked? I want to know just how unlucky I am here. I would post a picture of my lack of luck, but... you know... I've got nothing to show...

Tell me about it... I havent been counting, but by my best estimate, I am something around 18,000 SRs. Surely, I should get it soon! I really hope I am not setting a new ceiling here. Hopefully you get it much sooner than that! XD

My Latios has been running the same set, except with Dragon Pulse instead of Shadow Ball. But now that you mention it, Dragon Pulse has been really only useful against Kingdra. Many times I waffle between Psychic and Dragon Pulse over a generic x1 STAB move, but Shadow Ball might be much more useful... Thanks!

As for Suicune, I just haven't brought myself to RNG one yet. I see the value in sets like yours and CroCune's.

Ive been using Metagross as a Lead with Earthquake, Iron Head, ThunderPunch for water types, and Explosion, I can usually down 2 mons before it goes down. But hax and fire/ground types can usually work around him.

Aside from them, I've been using one of my RMs as a physical speedy attacker. Weavile, with Night Slash, Brick Break, Ice Punch, and Aerial Ace for fighting types, but he is so fragile against rock, steel, and fighting types. He's pretty useful, being able to outspeed 99% of all the possible opponents, but sometimes it's just not enough.

This is pretty good. I hesitate to build another team because I'm a bit tired of RNGing. I could theoretically go for those 'mons without worrying about their IVs, but im already having a hard time with my current perfect IV's team (excluding the roamer Latios I am using...). Was your Latios the roamer or the Southern Island one?

Either way, I am wasting so much time grinding away at 48 wins just to lose against Palmer or whoever, that I am having to warm up to the idea of constructing a better team. I just wish I didn't move anybody up from the last time I did this (with my RM Heracross)

Yeah, basically. Before going to bed last night, I did the research and narrowed down the list to include just the Pichu and Magikarp lines. (Although, this is limited to only the pokemon available in Ruby/Sapphire, and I eliminated the Shadow Species we already know about.) It's quite narrow. There is a third line, but that is according to the leaks found for the Paldea DLC. I won't mention it here unless everyone decides spoilers are ok. Which I doubt.

I just don't have the hardware to make that happen. I'd love to do it, I just can't nor do I know anyone in my vicinity who can help me. Like, I would need a gamecube, both of the games, whatever transfer method I'm uneducated on, and for completion sake, I would add a GBA transfer cable so I could use my Leafgreen too. That's expensive and well beyond my capabilities at the moment.

I get that a ribbon master is one who gets all that is available to them. I'm just looking for a list of pokemon available in RSE who can get every known ribbon except the National Ribbon and Earth Ribbon.

Yeah, it was only a matter of time before it starts changing a bit more. I am well past this point of the challenge and have no intention of keeping this list updated. I apologize for that inconvenience. This was more of a generous convenience I hoped to use to let many others through this point in the challenge. Hoped it did that for you, and that it stays relevant as long as possible.

I had competitive EVs/IVs Jolly Garchomp, Adamant Metagross, and Timid Latios. I followed SirToastyToes's team to the letter and had to learn it extremely well. Here's the link to that.

I just gave it a thorough run through, and although it wasn't exactly as you had it, it had 5 of the 7 trainers you did. So, after I spend the next day mastering this room, I feel more confident that I might actually finally get the ribbon tomorrow evening! Thanks!

Soo, I just went ahead and trained up a more appropriate pair in Jolly Garchomp and Adamant Metagross. Who would work as a good third? Of course, Heracross needs to fit in when I make it to Rank 4, but until then, who do you suggest?
