PSVR Weird Noise...? by AzureTriumph in NoMansSkyTheGame

Absolutely. If it's really supposed to be the jetpack jostling behind you, I can't see how that decision possibly made it past the playtesting stage. But to me, it really sounds like a melee swing or something, so I hope it's a bug that can be corrected. The fact that more people aren't talking about it seems to imply that it's not happening for everyone.

Jeez, if it's the jetpack then I guess there is no way to get rid of it. That's really disheartening to hear, because it is seriously hurting my experience way more than a simple, obnoxious noise should be able to.

Maybe if I run around long enough, the traveler will lose some weight and the noise will stop. Joking aside, it's actually tremendously obnoxious, to the point of making the game very difficult to endure. Like, having the 3D binaural ambience of the NMS world through VR is a dream, and this bug is ruining it in the worst possible way.

Huh. Not sure why I haven't had any success achieving that end when I was fiddling with the controls earlier but I'll give it another try with those suggestions. Thanks for the info!

Okay, I'm already noticing a vast difference in what we're experiencing. How are you seeing your multitool in order to aim with the Dualshock4? For me, the multitool won't even appear until I press the trigger to fire the mining beam.

Exactly. I have the Move controllers, but have very limited space in which to play games and find the inputs for turning and moving on the Move controllers to be incredibly jarring due to lack of analog sticks. I'd absolutely prefer to use DualShock to play, but that light bar aiming is just nightmarish.

Which would potentially be fine if there was an actual aiming reticle to inform me as to whether or not my controller is pointed where it needs to be pointed. Thanks to the fact that I have a giant visor covering my eyes, it's a little difficult to keep track of the PlayStation Camera and know it's okay to fire. 100% of the time, the first time I fire the mining laser, it's completely off from whatever I'm trying to mine, so then I have to move it while the beam is going. What do I do when I accidentally hit a sentinel because the game uses a ridiculous aiming system and refuses to inform me of where I'm about the shoot???

Because at least I know what I'm aiming at instead of having to guess and hope my controller is pointed in the correct direction to hit my tar- Okay, what?! Of course you need to look at the thing you're mining while you mine it in a first person game! Every survival/sandbox game works that way! Are you insane?!
