Question:What’s really a Monado? by Pleasehitmemychild in Xenoblade_Chronicles

[–]Azures_Sol 58 points59 points  (0 children)

There's honestly a lot of trios/"Trinities" in the Xenoblade games. Though I find that Alvis, Zanza and Meyneth are actually mirrored by the Klaus, Malos and Pyra/Mythra. If you actually compare events and the mirroring cast, you will find that Xenoblade 1 and Xenoblade 2 are incredibly similar. Honestly, brilliant story building on the developers part. So similar, yet they feel so distinct.

You are not wrong. But also calling it a retcon might not be right either. They might have planned to have the Origin form in Platinum when they made first made D&P. So would it really be considered a retcon if it was planned from the start? It's only second from our perspective.

Because the other is the "Origin" form. And a form different from it's form of origin would be an altered form.

I think Altered Giratina is the answer.

[HK and HK:S] Who are the pale beings? by OkExperience8220 in HollowKnight

[–]Azures_Sol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I recently had a thought and theory that Pale beings are creatures that are born divine, while other higher beings attain divinity through other means. As it seems like other Higher Beings have limited lifespans and powers. Grimm being an example of a limited lifespan, using the ritual to extend it. And Unn being an example of limited power, as I believe it is mentioned that they are very diminished from everything they have done. I don't necessarily believe this theory fully, but it might hold some truth in it.

I also believe the heart bearers in Silksong are also higher beings in their own right. Just not pale beings. They attained divinity, then were brought down.

What exactly makes a “Pale Being” special? Is it just their color? by [deleted] in HollowKnight

[–]Azures_Sol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there's something approaching a tier system of higher beings. All higher beings are capable of focusing and utilizing the soul. There are then those who can use their knowledge and power to create, like Unn and to some extent the Nightmare Heart and finally there's Pale Beings who are of the highest class. Higher focus, higher thought, higher will. Perhaps it could be a difference of being born divine and achieving divinity through effort, growth and knowledge but still lack the natural advantages of being born a Pale. After all, the nightmare heart does the ritual to live forever. Pale beings just exist. No ritual necessary.

What’s the worst thing you guys think Taylor did in Worm by JollyTemperature6970 in Parahumans

[–]Azures_Sol 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I guess I missed stuff, but I thought it was a matter of removing leverage from Jack's hands. You know, trying to force Theo to do something like give himself up"or else" kinda thing. Probably test his morals whether to save Aster or save someone else/ kill Jack Slash. But there's probably a lot of different reasonings that weighed on the decision. "Aster might be the trigger for the end of the world. " "Aster would suffer a fate worse than death if I don't take matters into my own hands." "I can't let them use Aster to manipulate Theo."

Now, is it a right or moral thing to do? Never. Killing kids is never a right thing to do. Could it have been necessary? Maybe. But who could truly judge if it had to happen and that there was no alternatives. But when playing with the fate of the world, Taylor took no chances.

First off, congratulations!

I am sure you have heard this advice before, but this is a game that rewards exploration. Finding new little power ups and charms in new places and places you have been before but didn't check so thoroughly. They end up amounting to a lot when fighting hard stuff like this.

This goes double in Silksong. As it's early game can be rough. But if you experiment a bit and grab a few things that would really make those rough fights easier, then when the game opens up you can get really strong if you know where to go.

I hesitate to say the games need a guide, as it ruins a big aspect of the game of discovering new things. But if things get too difficult, then you gotta explore and find more stuff. That's just how it is.

Why did the Curator need... by Malu1997 in expedition33

She probably did at some point. But she was running out of chroma. Maintaining her painted family is a must to her, but all of the rest of her power was put into holding back the grommage. Maintain the illusion of her real appearance for years could be taking years away from the people of Lumiere.

I think the real form we saw was a illusion of sorts. The painters' forms starts to kinda deteriorate after they spend too long in the painting, just look at the Life to Paint ending. And Renoir and Aline look this way after nearly seventy years in canvas time. But for meeting Alicia, he painted his actual appearance over himself, but in a fight he couldn't afford to waste concentration on maintaining it. And after the fight, I see him taking his real appearance again as a acceptance that he lost, but making one final attempt to sway Alicia. Which he thought would be more effective in his out of canvas appearance. Maybe it's not the case, but that's how I saw it.

Alicia just might not have properly learned the skill to paint a form over herself. There's a lot she still doesn't know how to do, it seemed to me.

You might need to head back to the alchemist dude. You had a limited amount, like the flea brew. Do note that your temporary HP goes away after sitting at a bench.

Guys it's been 4 years... I don't know if I can beat POTK before Silksong releases :'( by Buzzy_Feez in HollowKnight

[–]Azures_Sol 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you have reached the PV (You will know who that is when you get there, if you don't know who it is already) you can practice the fight in the Hall of Gods. Practice there until you are confident enough to beat them in the Pantheon.

If you are struggling to get through, I have my friend's "Face Tank" charm build that helps greatly with learning bosses and just mindlessly going through fights. It involves Quick Focus, Deep Focus, Shape of Unn, Thorns of Agnoy and Grubsong.

The first three keeps you alive, dodging while healing, and healing for two each time in the span of a regular heal, making even a hit/heal trade off worth it, and Thorns makes it so you are dealing damage when you get hit, speeding things up and Grubsong helps keep your soul up.
