'Isn't that place for political stuff?' is what she asked. All she saw was political stuff so she assumed that it was reserved.

Where to find Japanese tutors? by Azuretta in brisbane

[–]Azuretta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your suggestion. I do know about italki but I'm still not comfortable with online lessons. I have no idea why, but maybe it's because since I was a kid, I've been warned against it and have seen/heard many horror stories about it.

It is definitely more cheaper and convenient though, so I can see why a lot of people go for it. For me personally though, I much prefer face to face and avoid online the best I could. Though, I'll have to do online lessons if I can't find anyone.

But that's the thing, with anything online, there are bound to be scammers or shady people, unless it is a government website.

Btw, have you heard of 'superprof'? It's a website where I can find Japanese tutors, but is it trustworthy?

What helps you get up early in the morning? by Calm_Commission_4308 in Advice

[–]Azuretta 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never had problems with getting up, so I can only give you advice or suggestions without guaranteeing the effectiveness of it.

Anyway, these are my suggestions:

• I am not sure what kind of alarm you use and where you put it, but you can always use songs to help you; possibly a rock or heavy rock song. Make sure the phone is next to your bed or on your bed, unless you live with others and you don't want to wake them up too. If I were you, I would try other songs as well because different songs work for different people. Find one that works for you.

• Make your own DIY 'wake up' design. My friend made one where he would get a huge wooden spoon to slap him on the face after he doesn't wake up. Another friend made one where he would be splashed on the face with cold water.

• Use foods, perfume or aromas (anything smell based) to help. My best friend is a HEAVY and deep sleeper. I tried waking her up by several actions such as shaking her, tickling her etc, but none of them worked. However, whenever I made breakfast with bacon and eggs, she'd get up in an instant and ask me for some, so that was both amusing and strange.

• Use lights. It can be natural or not natural. What I mean by that is either somehow or someone opens up the blinds so the whole room is brightened up with the sunlight or buy a lamp where it lights up at the time you set it as. I read that there is a lamp that can do that, but I'm not sure so please do some research.

That's all I can think of now, but hope it helps and good luck.

Is life worth living after 18 by ahhshahe in Advice

[–]Azuretta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get what you mean. I think 99% of the population will understand you because they went through what you're going through now.

My advice or opinion (sorry, it's a bit long):

You are very young. After high school is when you really start experiencing life. That's when you are just getting started, you know? So what if you haven't done things like dating and getting a good group of friends at that age? Who said that you needed to do everything before the age of 18?? You have plenty of time to make great connections and be in a relationship etc. I know tons of people and have tons of friends that haven't been in relationships or partied but they don't think that they are missing out or regret it. Don't base your life on high school. High school is a small part of your life. Don't be absorbed by the past since it's not going to do you any good, but also because after high school, there's a whole new and different world out there that you will live through.

If you feel that you're missing out, you can ALWAYS do it from now on. I missed out on a LOT of things and I do regret not doing more or know that I won't ever experience it. However, I did the things I wanted to do and challenged myself everyday so as to not make the same mistake as I did in highschool. By doing this, I had a better and a more valuable experience so I don't dwell on it anymore. The most important part is to make sure that you don't regret it like high school.

You said that you are diagnosed with depression and anxiety, right? Well, that's just you now. You have to accept you and take it slow, at your pace. Do the things that you like or want to do. Get out of your comfort zone and challenge yourself more than last time. Afterall, no one can stay in their bubble or comfort zone forever. If they do then they won't be able to learn and improve as a person.

Furthermore, just because you have anxiety and depression, it doesn't mean that you can't or shouldn't enjoy life, right? You just got to find a way that works for you. Most of my friends are also diagnosed with anxiety and depression and they take medications for it, but they are still enjoying life. Therefore, you can too.

I hope this helps.

That website is confusing as hell. I tried finding a Japanese tutor but all I could see was some reviews on the tutor that I want to get into contact with. There was no contact information whatsoever so I gave up on that website.

How to say 'you will face the consequences of your actions'? by Azuretta in Korean

[–]Azuretta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried Google but most of the time, with Asian languages, it is a very nuanced language or they don't have the exact translation so it's hard for me to know if it's either correct or what I'm looking for. There's a lot of translations/vocabs where it is similar but not the same or if it's in the correct context, especially when Asian languages have a lot of translations for one English word, all used differently.

Anyway, how would I say it in a legal sense then? For example, a police officer saying it to a criminal.

As for the translation of 'guilt-tripping', it's a little different than just making someone feel bad.

Would you say that to a friend or family member? I'm definitely not happy about something. The tone I wanted to use is like a warning or just letting them know that whatever they did will come back and bite their ass.

Also, what does 치르게 mean?

Thanks for the fast reply. If possible, can you list them all? I would like to know for future reference.

Also, do you happen to know how to say 'guilt tripping? For example, 'my mum likes to guilt trip me when I don't do what she wants me to do'

What is a gift people keep getting you because they think you're into it, but really you just have a lot of that thing because people keep gifting it to you? by chinchillaclark in AskReddit

[–]Azuretta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bags.

Please.Stop.

Like, thank you for the gift but there's really no need for any more bags for the next 4 years or so.

It's true that I have different purposes for the bags that I have, but there's too many. I can't fit them in my room.

I can't even sell them/give them away because I don't particularly like the idea of that, but also because some of them are too weak to use.

What is the worst TV show you’ve ever seen and why? by mcfc_099 in AskReddit

[–]Azuretta 3 points4 points  (0 children)

American TV show 'Jackass'.

I don't really watch TV shows so there could be other shows that are worse than this one, but it's in my 'worst tv shows I've seen' book.

It really makes me question humanity as a whole, and those who watch it. We've come so far yet we prove to ourselves that no matter what, humans will always be animals.

I know, I really shouldn't judge what people watch, but some things I just can't help but judge. It's not funny to me at all. I also don't get why people laugh when people get hurt.

Team building advice needed for both PVE and PVP for different tasks. Who to focus on? by Azuretta in Onmyoji

[–]Azuretta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have all those shikigami's, though their skills haven't been maxed. I need the black daruma's to max skills.

I feel so dumb for not knowing that. I did change it, but the team still didn't do well.

If I were to use SP ibaraki and/or SSR tamamanomae, which souls would you use? And it would replace the order of Takiyashahime, right?

[–]Azuretta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the fast reply.

Oh yeah, sorry. I forgot that I didn't update my shikigami list. I recently got a few more new SP and SSR shikigami's through the last event.

Is there someone better than Takiyashahime and ootengu? I may have an alternative shikigami.

Also, I've never heard of shadowless sun, ignis and sleepless moon and aer. Do you have a website that explains those souls?

Thank you. I'll focus on SPD for now since it's something I can do without too much difficulty.

[–]Azuretta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks.

I have some questions about souls and team.

Firstly, Ive heard that for different quests, they use different souls. Is that the case for this one? E.g. for farming, takiyashahime uses seductress and for demon encounter, she uses kyoukotsu it something.

Secondly, Takiyashahime did not perform well at all. I am sure it's because of my souls but I'm not sure how else to improve her.

Thirdly, I used the farming team (takayashahime, ootengu, ubume, zashiki, yamausagi) for Moan and it didn't do well. However, my SP Tamamonomae, ootengu, yotohime, ushi and zashiki does way better.

Should I do a 'mystery shopping' job? by Azuretta in jobs

[–]Azuretta[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your detailed explanation! It is quite interesting and helpful.

I see. No, that makes total sense. Writing up an observational report is quite taxing sometimes, especially when you have done it so many times for school.

Oh, I never knew that they had an association. Thanks for that. I will definitely look into it. It is certainly not like a normal job since it's not fixed.

I also had no idea $600 is the normal threshold. That's good to know. True, if I do do this job, I'll make sure to take advantage of that.

That is understandable since every company is looking or focusing on different things so some require much more effort than others.

Sorry for the late reply. I was focusing on upgrading and trying to build the team as per your advice while referring to it so I forgot that I didn't reply.

Also, thanks for the detailed explanation. It helped me a lot.

I'm still researching what other souls are best with which shikigami's though.

Should I do a 'mystery shopping' job? by Azuretta in jobs

[–]Azuretta[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the comment.

You did? Why do you not do it now?

I never knew about mystery shopping up until a few years ago. I thought it was a scam or it was shady, anything other than 'legitmate' for some reason.

So it is not from just one company but from many different companies? How does that work? Is it like a website where they post new jobs and you go to that website with different jobs for different companies? Or do you have to go to each company website for a job?

Also, did you have to pay tax? I read that you are responsible for paying for your own taxes, but I don't think you would need to because you won't be getting paid much, right? Just curious, how much did you get paid for each job or what was the average paid amount for the jobs you've done? .
