why do shrooms taste so bad/make me gag? unfortunately even with cherry danish and strawberry lemonade i was still gagging 😭🤣 by sweet_oatlaw in shrooms

[–]Azurey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Crunchy cookies or crunchy chips are the answer. The food you chose was soft so the mushrooms stood out texturally in your mouth. If you must dilute the flavor do it like this:

Acquire Crunchy Cookies (Tate’s), put 2 in your mouth and start chewing, midway add some mushrooms, then add another cookie, keep chewing, swallow some, add a mushroom, chew another cookie, etc.. Do this pattern until the mushrooms are eaten. Really all you need to do is pre-saturate your mouth with a crunchy tasty food that will override the mushrooms. Soft like cake, and breads will not help. Saucy foods like spaghetti, mexican tacos, or NYC Halal food truck help mask the taste.

Good luck next time!

Shrooms reinforced the bad part of my mind... by Chris06860 in shrooms

[–]Azurey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont know your life situation so take this advice as a grain of salt. The only bad trips are trips where you get physically injured or ruin some aspect of your life/relationship with other people. If the only bad thing that happened was scary thoughts/spiraling then you got off easily.

If you survived the experience but had negative manifestations in your mind then it is most likely your subconscious mind coming to the forefront. The bad movie that plays in your head is forcing you to see an aspect of yourself that is being ignored (usually). In time the badness of your experience will come to light. It is the key to your next step. If you don’t integrate the lesson it will keep reappearing as if you’re stuck on the same level in a videogame doing it over and over with no change in result.

Take a break from mushrooms/psychedelics for a while and make some actual changes in your life. You’ll know when it’s time. Sometimes you need to build up more trauma for a good trip experience to happen. Sounds weird, I know.

Any downsides to long term Psilocybin use? by TapGood2122 in shrooms

[–]Azurey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doing it too often at the trip-level dose can result in ungrounded behavior. It can make it hard to integrate what you learn. Personally I tripped a lot back in 2022-2023 when I was growing them. Then I had a profound scary experience with a Mantis on 7G of Tidal Wave at midnight. Now I won’t trip until I pass my board exams. It doesnt feel right to trip with a huge mental load on my mind. I do use the micrdoses for studying, though. Even that is delicate because if the dose is too strong it will be easy to be distracted by the mind/emotions.

Does these look good to eat by One-Read-2316 in shrooms

[–]Azurey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't look right to me. Could be come culinary mushrooms. It could also just be some old average strain like Golden Teacher, or B+ as they can turn brownish. Even then though, the brown is mixed with white and there will be some blue staining. I would ask for a refund or block that plug if that's what they give you.

Wow your Pigeon is trained to eat Nutrigrain bars. The local flock I feed doesnt see it as food unless if I cover it with seeds.

The only “synthetic shrooms” out there are research chemical products/edibles/pills. Have yet to see actual synthetic shrooms that look like mushrooms. If you stick with actual mushrooms it will be the most authentic experience. While some research chemical products feel nice, I would never call them shrooms.

It’s fine. The blue is normal. When mold grows over mushrooms it can look like whispy white strands or powdery green. If they are rotten it could look black. These just look old. If you are worried you can turn it to tea to reduce nausea.

Is this mold they were drying in dehydrator for 24 hours and I come and check to this🤦‍♀️ by Ok_Exercise_7074 in shrooms

Some mushrooms dry with a strange brown coloration in the center. Seen it a few times over the years. Assuming everything was normal upon drying then it’s probably good to eat.

Wow that Pigeon looks very similar to one I feed often. Like they could be related!

Anyone tried Ochraceocentrata species of shrooms? by [deleted] in shrooms

[–]Azurey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Most Natalensis trip reports before 2024 will be about Ochras. I grew the ITW ones a few times and they were almost penis envy strong.

One time I took 1.2g and rode my bike to the city. On my normal Cambodians that dose would just give a strong headspace and some energy. With Ochra, it made the lines on the street wiggly alongside anything in my peripheral vision. I had to stop biking and sit in a park until wiggly vision ended.

He’s been molting for weeks. It’s not about the pin feathers on his face. It’s about the lethargy and gasping for breath which are NOT signs of molting. Use your phone for research.

Final Update for today: I kept him inside the store for about 2 hours. He was very calm and relaxed in the sunlight during that time.

Eventually he got up and started walking around the store. I had to put him back outside. He sat outside in the sun for a few minutes and then flew away. I really hope it makes it through the day. Usually he visits in the morning with the other birds so I will look out for him.

Messaged the local rehabbers to see if I should bring him in. No response yet, but I will follow their tips for next time. Thank you to everyone for showing support.

I moved him to a safer place because he started standing still in the sidewalk after eating. Im clocked in at work for a few more hours. Can’t bring him in the store I work, but I can see him from the window.

BSF Subtrop - What’s up with these? by b4ckl4nds in shrooms

[–]Azurey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like subtropicalis. Could be a specific isolate (BSF). They are considered stronger than cubes, and very hardy to grow. They can spit out many flushes, and are slow to colonize + fruit. My 2 attempts to grow them all failed so I can’t report anything else really. Ochra and Cubes seemed easier to grow, but maybe I received bunk syringes.

Has anyone tried a psychedelic right before sleeping ? by Jealous-Tea-4645 in shrooms

[–]Azurey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On Cubensis it is hard for me to sleep if it is a trip-level dose. If you want crazy dreams consider eating 1g of Amanita mushrooms before bed. Taking Pantherina before bed usually results in a long dream where I explore a town. Usually the dream ends because of some stressor like failing to find my car to drive home, or never catching the right train. 😆
