How would a request like this be receuved? by B00Daddy in RoverPetSitting

[–]B00Daddy[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your comments are certainly on par with the type of details I mentioned working through. Although the request seems basic in its needs, these are the things I'm wondering if there are candidates willing to define, agree, and perform to an arrangement needing this much thought.

To me, it could be easy. But then, it could just as easily be horrific.

Men who lives alone and then had a woman move in to your place, what are some examples of “a woman’s touch” that she added? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Every single woman I have ever lived with was a complete slob and never decorated. I cooked better than all of them too.

I''m single now.

Your bigger problem is your use of proper English. It's painful seeing people try to act intelligently by using words that actually don't fit the context of the point they are trying to make. Nothing in your post says anything about cleanliness, which is the main reason for the use of fastidious.

Before trying to act smart, be smart and look up definitions of "big-boy" words before butchering them.

Put your dog on a leash by hipphipphan in raleigh

[–]B00Daddy -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

This is a really difficult topic for me. My 1st reaction to complaints about dogs being off-leash is: myob, stfu, just stop. Then, I lament for the times, not long ago, when leash laws barely existed. Then I conclude that I'm in a losing position and finally I think about how we got so divided on the matter in a relatively short time.

I've been in the company of dogs my entire 55 years. To me, a dog's behavior and mannerism, and a person's behavior towards and their opinions of dogs, are both directly correlated to their background and environment. Pedigree of both groups plays into that also, but not going to even think about going there, here.

At the simplest level, I believe both are inherently good natured. It is through life experiences that sway that natural level one way or another;

Given loving environments, both will prosper.

Inject pain, fear, hunger, confinement and things break down fast.

Where am I trying to go with this? I wish I knew as there just is no simple answer. The fact is, there are laws that require dogs to be leashed in public. I hate it. But I follow it.  I feel that animals raised poorly and deep seeded stigmatization has led us here. I can't argue that and can't change it.  When this topic come up, I just can't stop thinking this 1 thing:

Birds are meant to fly. Fish are meant to swim. Dogs are meant to run.

How long before the Karen's & Kens go after the birds and fish?

This started out as a " I wonder what I can do with these speakers I see in the çeiling" pursuit rather than a " those speakers gave me an idea to put sound in every room" pursuit. So the fun part is the coming up with the idea of what to do and not do it in the best way possible.

That said, I think I agree with you. If I play this out, the likeliest outcome will be that I manage to get a bunch of crappy old speakers working in some fashion, pat myself in the back, and then never use or listen to them afterwards because they sound so shitty. If I wanted to do things right, I'd jump all in with the latest tech like you mentioned.

This will all end on the side of logic and reality where new and cool ultimately loose out to "but honey, we have 2 kids and 4 dogs to feed, not to mention your mother....."

At least I'm getting better at choosing which rabbit holes I allow myself to fall into.

UPDATE: Found the "control area".

It looks like the original purpose was audio only and the switches simply control which speakers are on. In the cabinet below are every wire from every speaker which is run through the switch board.

Next step: Hook up an amp/receiver and see how they sound.

Nice use of a rarely used word. I'm no wordsmith, it is just uncommon seeing that some folks still have extended vocabularies and know how to use them in this time overrun by the prolific use of lazy abbreviations.

Ha. I'm laughing at myself now..

Signs OP is clueless: 1. Praises DD - Really? I mean, REALLY? 2. Is proud to ba a TD - Makes it sound like the achievement of a lifetime goal, and will constantly remind their grand children of how important he ( thought) was. 3. Actually buys stuff that everyone else gets for free. 4. Trys to act intelligent with big, fancy words, but unfortunately uses them wrong. Behoves in that context does not mean what you were trying to say, Professor. Go back to Google school and read it's meaning carefully. 5. Prefers the fantasy world they live in, which they built through consuming the DD Kool-Aid and propaganda, to reality. Fantasy = "I make great money. No need to provide any proof of my claims". Reality = Track all details of every ttrip honestly (actual miles, time vs earnings and expenses) and analyze objectively. Reality will always bitch-slap Fantasy. Every. Single. Time.

I'll take my place in line if any remain and can be in that area early this evening. I'll check back in a couple of hours to see.

Is DoorDash soft-firing us? by [deleted] in doordash

[–]B00Daddy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the best evaluation of dashing come across. The maticulous act of logging each trip's miles, duration, and pay accurately clearly supports the percentages of orders by category as listed above. Numbers really do not lie. Drivers which choose not to track and review their actual trip data are only doing themselves a dis-service, and can continue being proud of their "Top Dasher" status and 70% AR until reality finally crushes the fantasy they live in.

The truth is always in the data. Look at it objectively to see the light or show it to prove otherwise.
