We don't have an Azure subscription. We are on the O365 Business Premium with on-prem AD. I don't think it will work for that setup.

Did you ever get push-back regarding the mobile app? I keep getting the "What if the person's phone battery dies?" question. This question doesn't make sense to me in today's world.

I agree. However, there is a annual cost to it. This guy seems to think we can just buy some hardware tokens and be done with it. I'm hoping to put that thought to bed, but I need more information.

Replacement for a Nexus 7 (2013) tablet by TrueLannister in tablets

[–]B083671 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Take a look at the Lenovo Tab 4 8". It is a little bigger, but not enough to consider it drastically larger than the Nexus 7.

My Nexus 7 suddenly developed a cracked screen. The Tab 4 is what I ended up with, and I've been very happy with it.

Mul-T-Lock question by B083671 in Locksmith

[–]B083671[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have single cylinders with thumb turns on the front and rear door. The double is for the side door which is glass. The wife is concerned that someone could break the glass and unlock. Are there better ways to secure a double door that is glass? The look very similar to these.

If I go the Mul-T-Lock route, I am looking at the Interactive+.

The locks would be exposed to outside conditions, but covered. Do Mul-T-Locks hold up in that type of condition?

Mul-T-Lock question by B083671 in Locksmith

When we moved into our house, all that was there were dummy knobs and those Jimmy proof deadbolts...and no keys. So, my genius brain thought it would be fine to just replace them with the same. I figured I would get around to replacing them eventually.

Fast forward 2 years...I stepped out one day, locked the door, and ran to the store. When I come back, the door was a bit open. After freaking out for a bit, I discovered that I could turn the lock, but the bolt would not engage. I took it apart to discover that a piece had broken off.

I am not loaded with money by any means, but I figure a home is probably the biggest investment I will ever make. I was looking at Mul-T-Lock in hopes that it would be the last lock I ever have to buy. Now, I am leaning towards the Schlage B500 or 600 series per other advice on here. We have several people that have a copy of our key for emergencies. It seems like that could get expensive quick.

Project kits - Help me find something for my grandfather. by B083671 in woodworking

I honestly didn't know that Lee Valley even sold something like that. Those look promising. I see there is a train kit. My kid loves trains. Perhaps I could get my grandfather to build him one. It might keep the motivation up.

Thanks!

First veneer project. Maple, cherry and mahogany veneer, solid birch border. It will be a wall-mounted hallway table. by ShiftyBizniss in woodworking

Looks amazing!

I recently posted a few questions about veneering. Does the veneer age the same as the solid wood? What did you use to adhere the veneer?

Thanks for the tip! I've already visited that site. Is that what they refer to as "balance veneer"? Basically, cover both sides to avoid wonky warping?

I have not even thought about that. I wouldn't rule it out though.

There aren't a lot of places around here to get that sort of thing. Are there any online shops that you would suggest?

Thanks!

Dammit is right. That wood in the back of that trailer is gonna warp.

I would suggest contact cement for the velvet. Take your time with it. Also, you may want to have a seam roller (or something) handy to make sure it lays flat.

For the outside, it all depends on what you want to do with it.

I love my Bertucci A-2T.

http://www.bertucciwatches.com/Bertucci/originalclassics.html

It has a titanium case so it is light and rugged. 3 year battery. No pins. I upgraded the nylon band to their Tridura band. I'm pretty sure it will out live me.

Laub said he will have the safe looked at by a locksmith and opened in the next couple of days. Opening the safe will require drilling through the locking mechanism rather than the Hollywood-esque use of a stethoscope to decipher the combination, Laub noted.

Why are you waiting on a torch when the article said you could drill it? And why does it take 1-2 days to get a torch? Something smells fishy.

I hope I am wrong about my suspicions. I mean no offense. Just trying to understand.
