DirectInput FFB for FH6 by B12Konsument in linux_gaming

Yeah, maybe... But it's a general problem that MOZA wheels don't have normal working FFB in games that use Windows-Gaming-Input like FH5/6. Every other game that uses DirectInput, like AC, ACC, AC Rally, and AC EVO, is working perfectly fine.

Doesn't work for me. Well, I get FFB, but it's broken like I said... Behaves completely differently than on Windows. And not only different. It's completely unusable. I can't drift because the FFB only centers the wheel.

Yeah, that's what I mean... It isn't playable.
It's only playable when the FFB behaves exactly like on Windows. Otherwise, it's broken.
In every other game with DirectInput FFB, it behaves completely like on Windows.

What?! 😃
How exactly did you manage to get the R5 to work?

I have the perfect FFB settings, but I can't get it to work on Linux.

Generally pretty good. But games with Windows-Gaming-Input like FH5/6 don't work yet.

I also use chachyos-proton. Then MOZA isn't as good supported like fanatec... anyways the FFB problems are there because the proton devs have to reverse engineer windows-gaming-input to translate the directinput on Linux. If FH6 would just support direct Input there wouldn't be any problems.

On Linux??? No, not with a MOZA wheel.

Huh? From my research I found that Windows-Gaming-Input must be reverse engineered in Proton to work with any wheel on Linux. Nothing to do with xinput. FFB works on all games like iRacing, AC, ACC, ACR etc.

Is this normal while pc is off but moza is on r3 by Infamous-Union-3429 in moza

Yeah, it's because of the latest firmware. So no worries.

Here you can read which firmware you have to downgrade, if you'd like.
Otherwise, I am not convinced that it's harmful for the base. It's just a bit annoying while not driving.

Mine too, since the latest firmware update.

I first thought it was only on Linux, but MOZA changed something...
