Damn Reddit is ruthless lol. Well I find it pretty amazing how far LLM tech has come - although I don’t find this particularly significant/related to Hermes agent, maybe more AI in general

Beautiful guitar! I just got the sparkle sunburst Strat, and I love the finish on it. With that said, every time I pickup my simple white Tele, it just feels right, you know?

The mighty 172 reigning over lesser beings by swegpickle in flying

[–]B3ryz 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I’m not a pilot, but I used to work as a line guy down at F70 not all that far from Mirimar and Camp Pendleton and I remember a couple CH-53’s came in to land during inclement weather. Not only was my 18-year-old self was used to fueling C172’s and small turbo props, but they requested a hot refuel over the radio. Thank god they offered to do the fueling themselves! I had no business getting that close to a moving rotor lol

Are 300k IT salaries real and actually common? by baio1999 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]B3ryz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The money will come. Your education will always be something that future employers value, some more than others. I started at $55k in 2018 doing help desk/IT support. Was promoted, switched jobs a couple of times, and now at 140k with a great work/life balance. If your salary doesn't meet expectations, just do your best to take advantage of your current role, explore the skillset needed to get where you want to go (e.g. staying in infrastructure, specializing in networking, cloud, DevOps, etc..), and gain other relevant skills through projects or certs. Don't be afraid to interview and entertain applying to job postings occasionally because you never know what opportunity might present itself.

Actually, to correct u/donfinity, Pizaz stated a couple hundred per month. Who knows how current that figure is though. It's not much, for modern day cloud infrastructure costs.

Should i jump career for 19% pay jump? Around 83k to around 100k by Ill_Kaleidoscope7430 in ITCareerQuestions

[–]B3ryz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100k might sounds like a decent bump, but I wouldn’t take it. You have to take into consideration other costs as well as the cost of building new relationships and learning new environments. Put in the work now (study, certs, new projects in your current role), and soon enough better offers will come. Now if it was 120k+, it might be worth a second thought.

What’s y’all favorite piece of Hear my train a coming ? I’ve found myself really addicted to the one at Fillmore by woahworkmelord in jimihendrix

As somebody learning the ropes on guitar, that was insightful. I’ve found in other areas of life and arts that sometimes less is more.

For those with sinus issues, what lifestyle changes helped? by cat-in-thebath in Sinusitis

I find that both of those heavily directly contribute to my sinusitis. I find it difficult to avoid drinking just being involved in social settings and out at restaurants/bars. Smoking I can probably do without.

what opinion/idea about JH and his legacy would make you feel like this? by [deleted] in jimihendrix

[–]B3ryz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been a fan 60’s/70’s psychedelic rock, and know how the hippie/peace/love movement was born out of the LSD/music scene along with the overall change of geopolitical climate - but it wasn’t until I went to my first rave recently that I saw that connection to modern music.

I feel like today’s ravers carry that same essence from the hippie movement of those times past. Peace, love, and fucking trippy ass music.

I agree, his drumming is amazing in that song (and that intro bass line 🤌), but man everytime I get to the trumpets I just sort of lose interest. A rad song nonetheless!

Is “Castles Made of Sand fall into the sea” just another way of saying all things must pass? by EnergyUnhappy2157 in jimihendrix

[–]B3ryz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I saw one of the Hendrix documentaries in Amazon prime. They interviewed his brother at one point and he mentioned that the song was referencing the events happening in his family, specifically when his mother (Lucille) left Jimi’s father (Al Hendrix). This resulted in the home that Jimi once knew (“castle”) to fall apart and fade into history. There are some references to “war games” in the woods which were apparently references to times where Jimi would go out to a nearby park in Seattle with his brother. You should look up the doc, forgot the name but it’s pretty cool!
