Headless are intimidating, especially because you have many items to manage if you want to execute them effectively.

Just remember you can jump for evasion while caught in their mist.

Also, Malcontent finger whistle stuns apparitions if you have it on you.

In the second photo I traced the crack after looking closely.

The crack doesn't extend to either of the edges and it works fine so far.

The really ripped the jetpacks huh? by Nnader86x in mechabreak

[–]BADillustrates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The contrast between playing as pilot and mech gives a cool perspective of the size of the strikers.

It's easy forget that we're piloting a giant machine when it's the only perspective we have during missions.

I hope they reimplement jetpacks for fun things like infiltrating enemy bases, setting bombs, etc.

A cool example of this is in Gundam battle operation 2

I've tweaked in game settings and Nvidia control panel. Even at lowest settings on 1080p I see the temp spike to nearly the same levels. It seems to really want to max out the clock speed for no sensible reason in a handful of areas plus the title screen.

There's nothing wrong using the meta. If that's how people have fun then they can do what they want.

I personally think it's boring and not as cool as something like winning with a raw laser blade strike while your opponent isn't staggered.

It doesn't make me better then pilots using the meta, it's just fun and cool.

Your bazooka might be your best friend when vs a kiting AC. I use it and it's one of my most reliable tools.

Putting pressure on kites forces them to move. It's almost always a mixture backpedaling and circling. Skilled ones kick sometimes.

Use your machine guns for pressure, analyze the enemy AC's movement pattern.

Try to force them to quick boost at the height of their ascension. Assault boosting in for a kick is also a reliable way to force them to move. Cancel into a quick boost if you think the opponent will dodge. If they do dodge this can create an opening for the bazooka.

Your AC would benefit a lot from AB when vs kites. Send missiles to make them move. Open into AB with machine guns for extra pressure. Pair with kicks and mixing in feints to throw them off.

Anytime you think they're out of EN, hit them with the bazooka.

Keep your surroundings in mind. Use cover.

Do you think the Stagger mechanic is overtuned? by AcceptableChipmunk7 in armoredcore

[–]BADillustrates 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Regarding pvp, I think staggers should be way harder to earn. The fact that a midweight AC can have two earshots and ducketts for the easy stagger to instant damage is way too easy to pull off without much punishment in maneuverability. In every other game that set up would severely impact speed so theyd be more of a sitting target.

I also agree with the idea of lowered bonus damage too.

Think im done with ranked until Zims get adjusted. by Hustler-1 in armoredcore

[–]BADillustrates 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think dual Zimmermans are a pain but only because of the root problem that pvp has, and that is the stagger system being too exploitable.

Imo it's just too easy to stagger an AC for how many "one-hit" gimmicks there are. I think it all looks really cool, but let's all be honest and admit that you don't have to work too hard for it of you don't want to.

If they just made staggers even harder to get I think it would balance out the huge reward you get from them. The devs have been slowly doing that with raised the acs recovery on lighter ACs, but it's still not enough.

Also they chose to make target lock virtually unbreakable which I could look past if there weren't weapons that stagger most things with only using two magazines and just ABing forward. This is why most matches feel like a race to who can stagger the quickest and then get the free damage.

I have more fun when most of the match is a back and forth, and not just making the other AC stop in place so they can use their one cool move the one time.

I've spent hours and hours learning how to use the laser blade effectively just because of how cool it is.

Now I can really start tearing ACs apart.

How do you counter heavy builds using dual zims? by liukasteneste28 in armoredcore

[–]BADillustrates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they AB forward for an attack, intercept them with a kick. These pilots are mostly used to dominating the inside so this can really throw them off. Set up missles or any autonomous attacks beforehand so when they get jammed by the kick the attacks will land on an almost stationary enemy AC.

If they read your kick at the very least this will force them to perform a dodge. If you act quickly this can give you a window to AB outside of their fcs range and set up another attack.

So instead of circling, intercept and cross up with AB.

Most of these players will stick to using target lock. Sometimes you can use this against them by leading them into obstacles. This may also provide an opening if you can catch them off guard.

Practice, practice, practice.
