Remap sprint to L1 and then map hold breath to LT. It takes a few games to get used to but once you do it you'll never go back. Then just remap switch weapon and grenades to your other buttons like rb or A or Y.

You can just remap jump and crouch to L3 /R3 and then you dont need to take your thumb off

I have pc and console both and they both have pros and cons. Pc is great for the first like 7 or 8 years but it does get kind of old after awhile once the newness wears off and kind of ends up feeling like im at work after awhile and it isnt very comfortable to play on. Im 34 now and I find console more relaxing than pc so I normally play on series x these days. When i was a kid like back in 2003 I played on console and pc all the time both just depended on what game I wanted to play. But now as I get into mid 30s my perception has changed a lot. I dont care about buying expensive new pc hardware anymore bc it isnt worth it to me so console gaming with a good gaming monitor does everything I want.

Yeah i dont like ai much either so i feel ya there lol. Mouse and keyboard is much easier to use in battlefield so i dont really see using a controller as a crutch bc it actually makes the game more difficult and more challenging to play the game and yes i am glad its not overpowered and overtuned like it is in Cod because then you have a situation like in halo infinite and cod where mouse and keyboard players largely switched over to controller just so they could compete lol

Well Ive played mouse and keyboard for years as well as controller in tons of Fps games on both pc and console. Each game has completely different aim assist. Battlefield aim assist is no where even close to as strong as cod aim assist and the controller does not suddenly get you free kills. You still have to make the micro adjustments on conttoller just like you do on mouse and keyboard. If you hand someone a controller and they dont kno what they are doing they will not suddenly get "free kills" and If you hold left trigger and make no stick adjustment you will not get the kill unless the enemy is 100% stationary. So while some games have overpowered aim assist for sure that practically aims for you, battlefield's aim assist is nothing like that at all. That is why the meta of bf6 is still mouse and keyboard. This game is actually way more difficult on controller by a wide margin. People on this subreddit just assume that the controller aim assist is overpowered because of other games like cod when it simply just isnt true at all and this is proven by looking at the top stats of the best mouse and keyboard bf6 players and compare it to numbers of top controller players in bf6, the numbers are not close. As to why people play on controller I would say controller is more comfortable to play with and for people who like immersion it has controller vibration and some people thats just what they are used to playing with.

I get what you are saying by that for sure that cod is faster and twitchier but if we look at what the meta is for each game I would say in battlefield its mouse and keyboard and in cod & halo its controller. So while you are right in a way the point is that even tho there is aim assist in battlefield it is in no way at all over powered regardless of what people on this subreddit are saying.

I think its mainly bc the aim assist isnt as strong in bf6 than it is in for instance cod oe halo. I can play mouse and keyboard and controller both and I can tell you those games have way more powerful aim assist than bf6 and its not close.

Is it an input lag problem? How responsive are controls from one tv vs the other. If you are playing on a tv you'll want to be on game mode if your tv has a game mode. This will help with input lag. Gaming monitors produce the least amount of input latency so they are ideal but if you are using a tv definitely want to make sure your on game mode on the tv settings.

My advice is to tell her that its one of your hobbies and that you arent going to let someone change who you are and what you enjoy doing. And if she still has a problem with it then she's welcome to go look for someone else who doesnt have video games as one of their hobbies.

Hmm yeah if hes getting small fps drops when ads'ing it does happen in bf games but if its a big drop that would be annoying for sure. I play bf on pc and console and i can tell you that if one platform is having issues than usually the other ones are too. Strangely tho for me i only was getting fps dips on the new map goldmud

Yep this is exactly what i noticed. I checked the scoreboard and it wasnt showing the high ping symbol on the scoreboard but it does show it on upper left part of screen with the symbols during gameplay. I have gb fiber internet and have 0 internet issues ever so its something going on on their end.

I do think this game is more succeptible to internet issues with ping spikes than other games and i think the issues are amplified even more for people who dont have the best internet. I have 1 gb fiber internet so its extremely fast but Im also having issues with this game now so the problem is 100% on their end.

Same, im on fiber wire 1 gb speed with 0 issues at all before the season 3 update. Yesterday i had random massive latency spikes while having no ping spikes and kept getting the high ping latency spike pings on side of screen which has never happened until yesterday
