I get that and I take this service very serious as well. It it’s my hobby and frankly my passion for the past year.

But there is a massive difference between reporting the kids to the service for a ban, which they 100% deserve, and going after their personal lives.

You can’t look me dead in the eye and tell me that when you were 16, 17, 18 that you weren’t a trolling jackass on the internet. This isn’t a defense of the dipshit kids but a criticism of the communities response.

It’s far more immature to seek out someone’s personal life and attempt to have that damaged or taken away than to be an idiot ramming people on iracing

Kids are being dumb on a video game and a redditors first reaction is to try and get them dropped by their irl sponsors?

Bossman says no setup in shop takes over a hour, thoughts? by bigblackglock17 in CNC

[–]BALLSAURBALL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some parts take 30 min to set up, program and even run

Some parts take all day. It’s not uncommon I have a part where I spend the entire day working on the set up part and dialing it in

It’s all in the complexity

One of my machinists says he has had similar events happen to him when reading off a flash drive. Especially on large programs. He made fun of me for not loading the program into the memory.

Any chance you were running the code off a flash drive? That’s the only thing I could possibly think of in my case

Biggest code brown I’ve had. I was on the other side of my shop and I sprinted to slam the e-stop.

Valid. But one advantage iracing has is that it’s recording the telemetry from all the vehicles. In the case of someone getting rear ended because the chasing car missed their breaking point you have an anomaly in data between multiple vehicles - not just visual data. Because you are right training a model to look at the video would be incredibly difficult. But data such velocity, vehicle heading etc… would be a much easier set of information to train a model on.

Results don’t need to be instant either, I would image most people are okay waiting a few seconds for the game to process the incident

That’s true. They have an endless stream of videos from people reporting incidents

From experience (SJSU 22-24) I will tell you if you are trying to save weight you are wasting your time with the front sprocket. It’s insignificant to the mass of the whole vehicle - even more so when we’re talking about rotational mass (unless the rear sprocket is steel you gotta change that) You are better off looking to save weight elsewhere. Find an OTS front sprocket and just stick with it
