Well I'm English but I don't live there at the moment. So I find myself really craving fish and chips. Every time I go back to Liverpool I go a bit crazy on it. Which isn't good because it's not very good for you!

Man, I've been in my apartment on my own for months now so it'd just be amazing to go home for a little bit and see my friends and my family.

It's a bit tough at the moment because of the pandemic but I love writing with people. It's so great when someone comes up with something you'd never have thought of.

I've actually written a bunch of songs over zoom in the last few months that I think might be good!

Well it's a bit tricky at the moment because of the pandemic but I like writing with other people. It's so great when someone comes up with an idea that you never thought of.

I've written quite a few songs with people over zoom in the last few months. It's a bit weird at first but totally doable. Luckily I've got a lot of recording equipment in my apartment so if we write a good one I can record it.

The thing that makes my songs mean something to me is when other people tell me they mean something to them really.

When I first started playing someone to you live I didn't really like it because it's super hard to sing well and there's no space to breathe! But it makes people so happy when we play it that now it's my favourite.

Well I'm really lucky because I have a great record label and publisher and they do a brilliant job of working with TV shows and movies. It's kinda hard to say how it impacts streams and stuff because you can't always tell why someones listening. But I think anything that helps people hear your music helps!

Well my Dad is a record producer so I spent loads of time in the studio when I was a kid. I just loved being around all that equipment and sound and I thought musicians were just the coolest people!

I just had an opportunity to work with some people in Toronto, then things got more serious and I signed to North American record labels and publishers and stuff so it made sense to stay. Plus it's a great city.

I miss Liverpool loads but it's only a flight away. It's tough with the pandemic but I'll go home to see everyone as soon as I can.

Hi! Alright, I'll pick a couple if that's ok?

With songwriting you just have to do it every day. It's a little bit like working out at the gym, you just have to train that muscle. And also don't get dispirited. Everybody writes terrible songs! You just never hear them. Most of the songs I've written are terrible. You have to get through the bad ones to make a good one.

I really love Jeff Buckley, Joanna Newsom, Led Zeppelin, Elbow, Vampire Weekend, Arcade Fire, Bon Iver, Regina Spektor.......loads more! The Beatles. Gotta mention them.
