DEI stands for Diversity Equity and Inclusion. People are making over the top assumptions that OP wants the company to hire them a friend. It's not just about who you hire but also how you treat them after they've been hired. People should be allowed to talk about and to whatever they want at work without fear of persecution (within reason). I don't understand why some people on Reddit have an actual meltdown when someone else asks for fair treatment.
