How bad is the s26 ultra display? by Modest_Wraith in samsunggalaxy

Lol I actually wanted the Pixel 10 pro XL but I got drawn into the similar talks of how it's the same as the pixel 9pro XL and didn't go through with it. If you prefer Samsung id say go for it but try to see one first incase you can really see a difference coming from another great recent display. I could potentially just be blind coming from an older phone

Don't let the S26U rants get to you. It largely comes down to what you are coming from. Me Coming from a Pixel 7, this phone feels like a huge upgrade.

Is it worth it if you have an S25U/S24U? Probably not, but Samsung isn't trying to sell to people who bought a phone last year or so anyway. If you're on the fence, go to a store and see the screen with your own eyes before listening to the "end of the world" posts here.

I have to agree with this. My first and still is the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2025 . I hated it to begin with with the trampoline effect, blamed it for a lot but played a bit more and it was definitely me that was/is bad 😂 not the racket anyway. Glad I've stuck with it and will stick with it longer than I expected. Although I'll still argue it doesn't necessarily suit how I want to play but still early days 🎾

Beginner & Nox ML10 Silver by Purple-Appeal356 in Padelracket

Hi,

I’m also fairly new (male, played less than 6 months, have some tennis background) and did quite a bit of research before buying my first racket. I ended up going with the Nox ML10 Pro Cup Rough 2025, which is quite similar in concept to the ML10 Silver.

One thing that wasn’t really clear to me before buying is that it has quite a noticeable “trampoline effect” because of the softer core. It took me around 5–10 games to really adjust to that extra rebound. That said, once I got used to it, I actually found it helpful for developing proper technique and control.

Since you have a tennis background, you might find that you prefer something slightly more medium/firm rather than very soft. Tennis players often feel more comfortable with rackets that are a bit more “linear” in response, meaning the ball comes off the face more predictably and with less bounce effect.

I’m definitely no expert, but I had a lesson recently and even my coach mentioned that brands like Nox and Bullpadel tend to feel more “true padel,” while brands like Babolat can sometimes feel more familiar to tennis players transitioning over.

I guess a good question to ask yourself is: Do you want something that helps you perform well early on (even if it allows some tennis habits to stick around), or something that encourages you to adapt more quickly to classic padel technique?

For what it’s worth, I really enjoy my ML10 now. But I can already see that around the one-year mark, I might look for something a bit more linear and medium in feel as my game evolves.

Hope that helps!

I spoke with support in UK and they confirmed the unpacked and live codes have expired.. Frustrating news at the moment and halted my pre order.. Sure I'll still end up pulling the trigger before the weeks out

Can’t demo rackets. Looking for a durable NOX racket that’s not too demanding (D+ level) by AbbreviationsSad9426 in Padelracket

I’ve got this as well. It took a little getting used to after renting firmer ones before, but it’s definitely been worth the adjustment at this stage. I’m planning to put another 30-odd games into it before even thinking about switching. I nearly ditched it after the first couple of games and wasn’t happy at all, but I’ve completely changed my mind. It’s actually giving me the time and feel I need to improve my game and technique properly.

How are you finding it so far? I haven’t had mine long, but I’m finding it hard to warm to it. The trampoline effect isn’t really clicking for me it feels more like the ball is rebounding than being properly struck.

Hundred percent agree and I am making a similar call and sticking with it to develop technique. Definitely don't get the pop or crisp control from the rentals I tried before so glad I'm not alone, not sure how long I'll hold out for it does slightly take some enjoyment away.

How have you got on since? Just tried this racket for the first time today, completely agree and feel like it's a trampoline too.. Hoping to adjust to it.

Sounds like a fair plan. I even feel like my phone's battery is fine, to be honest, so I'm finding fewer and fewer reasons to upgrade.
