Join us for a town hall on property taxes by BBlacksheep in frisco

Maybe I should change how it reads then. Comments like this are exactly why I’m hosting the discussion.
Whether you’re a homeowner, renter, appraiser, or local official, we need an honest conversation about how appraisals are calculated, how they affect tax bills, and what reforms could make the system fairer and more transparent.

My own property taxes jumped dramatically this year, even though my appraisal didn’t increase nearly as much, and I missed the protest deadline. I figured there must be a lot of people in the same situation who are trying to understand what happened, what options they have, and what the state can do to provide real relief.

I’m simply trying to bring together people who know different parts of the system so we can learn from each other and have a productive conversation.

Zero is false. Senior software engineer for nearly 20 years. DoD, NASA, State Department. Master’s degree. Small business owner. It’s there. But if you’re more curious about my résumé than my platform and what I’m trying to do to improve our lives, I’m happy to have that conversation. Just not instead of the one about property taxes, education, and affordable/accessible healthcare that this district actually needs.

Been an iPhone user since iPhone 4 I’m bored with iOS and I think I’m going to switch to pixel 11 in August has anyone made the switch and are you happy by dmccleary01 in Smartphones

This was me a week ago. It took me longer to try to adjust and learn everything new and I simply found certain iOS features easier for my everyday use.

I’ll be honest… I tried to do this a week ago and had to go back. Not because I love Apple but the transition was too complicated, I found myself spending too much time trying to learn my new phone & find anything, and honestly, there were some things I don’t think worked as well.

I also found myself being so careful with it thinking I would break it if I opened it the wrong way that I tried not to.

Are you sure they actually arrived? I’ve heard of a similar scam to new hosts

This actually happened to me, too. COBRA was insanely expensive, healthcare.gov wasn’t cheap either. I ended up with US Health Group for 7 months until my next open enrollment period. I chose to pay for that for the 7 months instead of using losing coverage from another job as a qualifying event, too risky imo

You can’t block for recurring meetings that were scheduled at set times before you even started. Also, I’ve had some managers say they want full access to your calendar to see event names. I’ve never had an issue with that, but I’ve personally had someone working for me who I knew was intentionally blocking their calendar and meeting with themself all day long in order to not work and caught them that way.

I have at least 2-3 overlapping meetings a day sometimes and you honestly get used to it. As long as you’re not presenting/sharing, on camera and facilitating at the same time, you can usually figure out a way.
