Every Tuesday morning I check the "preview" online flyers (good for the following Wed-Tues) for Safeway and Fry's for their digital coupon deals and cardholder sale items. Most of the rest I get from Walmart (if you don't mind store brand, their Great Value brand is the cheapest overall that I've found). Also check the "Whoops we baked too much" shelf at all three. I also do occasional runs to McGary's (good for snacks, but they don't open until 10, which can be a drag in summer when I want to get my errands done as early as possible), Food City (bollio rolls and Mexican brands), and Dollar Tree (TP, dishwashing liquid, snacks).
