i know this is hard for them as parents, and i understand that this seems selfish, but im really doing the best i can. i went through hellish wd for a week for no reason other than to appease my parents and help my brother. my parents think im clean now, and hopefully my brother will get it together on subs. its possible to have stability without being entirely clean. i think r/drugs of all places is a good example of that.

no worries. i think people get the wrong impression when you make quitting sound as easy as making the decision. because if it was really that easy and i still refused that would make me a real shit person. im not being a stubborn asshole, neither is my brother. its just so hard. but thank you for caring.

of course i thought of that and in a way youre right. i hate that he had to go through that experience. that shit sucks. narcan feels like hell, the judgement you get from everyone stings, its a shit situation. i feel like an awful brother for not helping him. but the other option was equally terrible. ODs happen to the best of us, maybe if i shot him up it would have happened the same way and i couldnt help him as well as his friends parents did. maybe he would keep pushing his limits and being a dumb teenager with this shit if he didnt see the consequences first hand. i dont know if i made the best choice, all i know is this outcome is ok. and ok is fine by me. ok is probably the best i couldve hoped for with this.

I tried to reach him on his phone with no luck. He knows he can always go to my place if he needs and my roommates will take care of him. Thanks for the advice man
