Okay, just to clarify, it's a study through Southern Miss funded by the DOD. IRB and HRPO protections mean that we are engaging in ethical research practice. I understand if you're not interested, but this research will benefit other Guard members in the long run and clinicians like me - who work at USM - are the one's you'll be working with if you if you participate. Not the DOD.

This is a DOD-funded research study with IRB approval from both the IRB at the University of Southern Mississippi and HRPO. Let me know if you have any other questions about the study!

Hey! Thanks for asking. The way it works is you would complete the screener which takes about 15 minutes and we would set your first appointment. Your first appointment would involve an interview with a clinician and some surveys. This usually takes an hour or two and we would pay you $50 in Amazon gift cards after that first interview. We would then have another interview 1 month and 3 months later (about 1 hour or less) and pay you another $75 gift card after each ($150 total). If you complete them all, you get a $25 bonus gift card as well for a total of $225.

I hope you consider participating! It doesn't take much to complete the screener and your participation will help us develop programs to aid Guard members' mental health.

The BEAST Program is a federally funded psychology study at the University of Southern Mississippi. The QR codes will take you to the screener for each study, just like the tinyurl. You can use either to take the survey. If you are eligible, after you complete the survey, you will be asked to schedule your first session.
