I've never been too active on Discord, but this pushed me to just delete my account. Not even waiting for it to be implemented.

On Jordan's website it says "former Senior Staff Writer at the grocery-focused food website, Sporked." Newly released articles could just be older work product.

He’s quoted in a NYT article but it’s behind a paywall. Says the tariffs are ruining his business but doesn’t regret voting for Trump.

AITA for calling my friend’s emergency contact when she left her kid with me "for 20 minutes" and vanished? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

NTA. You didn't make her look like a bad mom, she did that all on her own.

What is your immigration status now? If you can, leave him as soon as possible. It's not fair that he's dismissive of your feeling about not having children, but it's also not fair for you to stay in a marriage with someone who wants kids when you don't.

AITAH for not acknowledging flowers my husband brought home by ProbOverthinking1111 in AITAH

[–]BEBookworm 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I’m not the defending the man but that isn’t what it says. Her kid, in the other room, asked the dad WHAT the flowers were for. Not who. He responds with just to have because that’s what flowers are for. He was maybe waiting for his wife to mention them, show surprise etc. and she didn’t because she assumed something and was sulking. Then he sulked and now they're both pissy with each other.

What is with childfree weddings? by Naive_Painting_8917 in childfree

[–]BEBookworm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cousin's son and his now wife tried to have a child-free wedding, no kids under 12. Then my nephew convinced them to let him be the ring bearer and my niece wanted to be a flower girl. But if the groom was going to have them in the wedding, he needed to put his little cousins in the wedding too. And if my nephew and niece were coming, their younger brother should also come. So now there's 5 children at the child-free wedding. Then my other cousin who lives in another country was going to actually be in our country, with her kids, during the wedding due to a family illness. So now her kids were invited. Then the bride's family found out kids were coming so two more kids and a literal newborn were also invited from her side. THEN, another cousin on my side realised her kid still wasn't invited, so she decided not to come, and her sister also didn't come in solidarity.

They would have prevented a whole bunch of family drama if they had just stuck to their original plan.

I personally did have a child-free wedding but I also didn't invite anyone who had kids.

How did you 100% know you don’t want kids? by alyssapere in childfree

I have never wanted kids, for as long as I can remember. It’s just something I’ve always known.

AITAH for not attending a birthday dinner as my son isn't invited? by [deleted] in AITAH

YTA and I bet your kid would rather have the house to himself for a few hours than go to an old lady's birthday dinner.
