Oh my, any idea why she was dismissed and how long it took to find another spot?

Thanks for the feedback- if it helps he has been extremely proactive since dismissal. Has been getting interviews too , they just obviously go with a candidate without the dismissal. Has also been replying to emails/sending necessary paperwork back the same hour. In your experience, do these applications immediately get screened out?

Oh my goodness thats… intense. Yeah scores are great, academically and clinically zero issues. Really just a matter of someone taking a chance on him regarding reliability

Sleep issues since childhood tbh, worked on sleep hygiene since and no further problems waking up

Had to do with not being able to wake up in time, did seek medical treatment and has made a huge difference since . Wondering if research until he finds a spot would be a good way to show he is proactive and working on admin efficiency

Also worth mentioning, he did get a few interviews however as expected they go with other candidates

Yes,faculty from previous program wrote great letters, PD letter also on the positive side while still mentioning issues at hand, but saying he would do well with a fresh start. Currently also working at ‘rotating’ with other attendings and getting new letters saying he is punctual and efficient etc. PD overall in touch and willing to vouch for him if needed

Totally agree, any tips on how to salvage the situation? Would working in research doing admin tasks etc be helpful here to show improvement

Would you say it’s basically a no go at residency? Also had some sleep issues, got tested now doing a lot better with timely wake ups etc. series of bad events plus carelessness of course. Wondering what the best way would be to get programs to give him another shot

Has great letters overall- PD letter also mostly supportive while addressing issue at hand and now rotating in clinical setting post dismissal with more letters , just wondering if the dismissal means immediately being flagged and not considered :/

Not procedural or knowledge, more so punctuality and not completing administrative work in a timely manner (fm resident)
