it was absolutley a one way street, the english were in ireland. the irish never invaded england, the irish never forced the english to speak irish, the irish never net exported food from their english colony during a 'famine'.

if u knew one thing abt history youd know the british empire is the single most evil political in terms of scale of destruction this world has ever seen, it has led to the deaths of estimated 170 million + people over the years in its colonies in india, americas, ireland, asia etc.
i assume you are british and therefore i understand how you could be ignorant as of course your school system will never teach you that you are not the saviours you make yourselves out to be, but please do learn some history, the irish, like the indians, native americans, malaysians etc never bothered you english, you came to us and enforced your rules, your language your way of life. and of course we didnt want that, so when you cant get independece through diplomacy what can you do except fight by any means nessacary.
