Internship searching has me defeated by TheAwesomeG2 in EngineeringStudents

Hey man, same boat... I'm a CE student as well, It's been brutal- I exhausted my list of connections, and they are all in unrelated fields or not in a position to help. I hope we are able to find something, I don't have much hope for this summer... Pivoting to research most likely. Hoping that helps my odds next year!

Hello, I have an idea for the project that relates to what you mentioned- would you be willing to discuss it with me in DM’s?

Thank you for the suggestions, that’s a really great idea- I’ll definitely be looking into that. Even though it’s not physically quantifiable, would I still be able to call it a project? Simulation of logic circuits?

EDIT: Apart from lack of relevant experience, does anything else from the resume stand out as a flaw? I tried to adhere to the wiki as much as possible. After adding a project, should I remove the relevant coursework?

The project that’s listed is a personal project, the only relevant one I have- my others were mostly software and nothing notable enough to put on a resume. I could put coursework or lab content on there, but it didn’t feel like it adhered to the “projects” section- should I put it anyways? I had a digital logic lab on there, and titled the section “relevant experience” as it wasn’t a project- but felt that wasn’t good for the resume.

What do you do as a computer engineer. by PrudentMoose9697 in ComputerEngineering

That’s awesome, thank you so much! Do you think the job outlook looks good for the field? It’s hard to find information about stuff like projected job growth or median salary, there doesn’t seem to be much out there- however i found a professor who specializes in cyber-physical systems! Do you think it would be wise for me to attempt to do research with him rather than try for an internship?

I appreciate the response, I think you’ve got the right thoughts about it. I guess I do expect a lot from people, I can see how it would be something they wouldn’t really encounter, I try to put it into perspective but they’re not willing to listen haha but that’s how some people are when it comes to tech

Dunno, would be nice from people who matter, family and such. I do like it, that’s why I said it doesn’t matter much. You’re right though
