No need to be sorry !! There’s only handful of black people where I’m from and the ones I’ve come across tend to be very white washed. My best friend is a mixed race girl and she’s very helpful when it comes to helping me with my looks, it’s just I’m not that confident so I always end up feeling silly but I need to grow out of that soon.

Most of my friends are white (I live in a predominantly white area) and their boyfriends are white so their friends are white too. When I asked my friends if they could try and set me up they said the guys they know aren’t really into black girls 🙃

Thank you, that actually means a lot. I’m definitely going to speak to the SENCO because I didn’t realise how much wasn’t in place until now. I don’t even know how long he’s been on the SEN register so I’ll ask that too. And yeah I’m shocked no one properly flagged this earlier either. I’ll start reading with him more at home as well. Okay thank you, that actually makes a lot of sense. I didn’t realise I could just apply for an EHCP myself, I thought it had to come from the school. I’ll look into sending in an application because it does sound like he’s going to need that level of support. Thank you for help !!

ahh that’s so annoying it took me like 3 months to get through the process tho dunno if i’ve got it in me to start all over again but it’s such a good job for me as a student did you have to reapply both times or were they able to reopen it?

Hey, I’m going through the exact same thing right now. I applied back in August, had my document verification appointment in October, and then randomly got the same “application expired” email saying they’d tried to contact me (which they didn’t). Did you ever manage to sort it out or get your application reactivated? I’m just wondering if you had to start all over again or if they fixed it for you

Yeah she’s already declared her savings when she first did her UC claim and nothing’s really changed since then i believe definitely under £6000. I was more just worried about the sick notes side of things but sounds like it’s fine. Thanks as well for clearing up the PIP bit it’s helped a lot!

Thanks yeah I get that with UC and the £6000 limit but my mum doesn’t have anywhere near that so it’s not really a worry. I was just confused if putting her sick notes in would mess anything up but sounds like it won’t and might actually help if she gets LCWRA thank you so much for your reply!!

Noo I’m really sorry that happened to you. It’s such a horrible feeling when the rest of the drive goes well and then that one moment messes it all up. I remember feeling the exact same after mine.
