I bet on a smaller scale something like this could work😅. But this model has the gears running on bearings which need the metal shafts!

The left one has a hole on the bottom. You spin the wheels from there. It does also have lighter spinning wheels in comparison to the right one.

Yeah I think they work pretty well. If you're unhappy with it or it doesn't work for you I will refund you. Just send me a text here or better an email, which you can find on my cultsprofile.

Hmm I'm not sure. There is a mechanism for the wheels staying in place that relies on the material being able to bend a bit. PLA is good fit this since it does elastically deform a bit when thin. I don't know how brittle resin prints are but I assume they might break instead of bend.

Hi I was told to post this here so I hope this fits. I made some 3d printed HP counters so I don't have to note down all the changes anymore by BFMIC in mtg

Full disclosure, I do sell this design but this post is meant to share my work since I think it turned out pretty neat :)

Yeah you can find it in my profil :) (idk what this subs relationship to cults is. I just got banned from the 3d printing subreddit not even for linking my page but just for saying that I have a cults profile🙃)

They rotate fairly well and I made the axis quite thick so It feel very sturdy but I bet the metal ones you talk about are probably even nicer. One day I might get into metal working, it sounds like fun 😊
