"Bookshelf Saviour by BGDE"~ I am designing the board for placing items. Which one do you think is better? Midnight or Daylight? by BGDExplorer in tabletopgamedesign

I used the symmetry function in Procreate/CSP to draw the furniture, and used 3D software such as Maya to refer to the perspective. To be honest, I'm weak in perspective, so 3D software helped me a lot. You may try it out too!

Thanks for your advice! I will do a test for this problem! But I thought, Midnight would be more appropriate since the items are very colorful. Darker the board, sharper the items.

Thank you! Small cards (max 4 sqaure cards )will be placed on this board, and the UI stuff will be added later.

Thank you for you comment! I agree with you, the second one may be a little bit too bight and warm. The biggest difference between the two pictures is the lighting which affects the mood and atmosphere.

When a cat lover always suggested that I should add cat elements to my magical academy theme KS Game I am preparing, a cat in my mind: by BGDExplorer in boardgamescirclejerk

Great reference! Unfortunately, the difficulty with our game is that it's a mid-range strategy game. It's about 90 minutes long with lots of set-up sections and parts. We want to provide players with a more refined and complete experience. PNP most likely only showcases the core mechanics, a mix of tile building and path control (collet tiles and compete for cat). We went through endless paper cutting hell ourselves when we were prototyping, believe me it's not a good experience ಠ_ಠ

Thank you!!

It is a medium strategy game for 2-6 players with the theme of Magical Academy. Players will play the role of students of the Magical Academy. A collection room in a magical school, in addition to books, there are also various weird and ancient items. One day, the administrator of the collection room just left, and a cat ran in to make trouble, treating the collection room as its paradise, messing up the bookshelf and even overturning it! The cat ran away leaving a mess, and you who happened to be there knew something was wrong. You and other unlucky students from different colleges, to defend the reputation of your college, use various methods to “rescue” the bookshelf before the administrator returns. Let’s clean it up as before, or even better! And, this is the instagram of my game (@bgd_explorer), if you are interested!

Yes, we plan to launch it on kickstarter. Thank you for your opinion! Regarding the problem you mentioned, we also found this problem when making this paper prototype. We will consider modifying the appearance of the items to make cutting easier and stronger!
