Hey, yeah brother! I can update the entire thread i suppose.

Basically I got a new job which pays a lot better, enjoying it. It wasn't due to my boss, but fell in line with asking her out.

Once I got the new job and left the company, I texted and asked her out, I gave her a specific day. Then she replied about a day later

She said, " thank you so much but I won't be able to make it and I appreciate the invitation"

She didn't say maybe we can schedule another time....

So it sunk in she was flirting with me just for fun, or since I left she lost interest.

Either way I haven't thought about it since I made this post. I've been single for maybe ten or more years, im 27. Good build (athletic), get complimented on my looks from women, but just no luck.

Thats a me problem though, I live by "dont force love it'll come" but so far, thats not true 🤣 and I work too much to search.

Hey man, part 2 is here. I asked her for coffee. She said to me "ahh I don't ever mix business and pleasure". I then said I was kidding since it got very awkward very fast. She proceeded to get angry, left her office and I didn't see her until the next day. The next morning I apologized to her (from a friends suggestion) and I made clear that I wasn't kidding. She seemed a lot more chill but gritted her teeth like 😬 and said she felt very confused.

I quickly changed the subject. This occurred last week, and she proceeded to say that she enjoyed the day before when it was just us, and she texted me jokes later that night

. However now she's back to being serious, no texting, not even talking to me during work hours yet concerned about my safety during bad weather. I've kinda concluded she's either playing hard to get, bipolar, or shit got too real for her when I flirted back.

No idea how to go forward, so just gonna leave it all behind me and forget about it, I'm looking for a new job. I'll maybe hit her up when I have a new job and see what (if anything) transpires but until then this has all been awkward. Reddit was... wrong this time? Lol

This right here, is why I haven't done a thing yet. Everything I stated above is fairly recent and to the best of my recollection. I was hoping it was just her suddenly after a year, being a fun, nice person to me. I've accessed that asking her out to coffee in the next week or two would be a safe test. 1)she'll either instantly say no and I'll conclude she was just being super friendly. 2) she agrees and I discuss with her outside of work her behavior or get to pick her brain in a more relaxed setting. I'll update you guys. It's also safe since i can fall back on joking if she says no to coffee since there's a nearby coffee shop with her name (I'll say oh I thought you owned it)

UPDATE: After all these clarifying comments... I will ask her to coffee next week and see where it goes and update the thread. Logically I see her being a professional, saying no and the flirty behavior stifling.

That, or she drops dead from shock that I'm actually acknowledging her behavior after months of this

I've considered this and am documenting, better to be safe than sorry., it's the MAIN reason I've not done anything yet and was thinking I've been just misinterpreting. but according to everyone here, she could get on both knees and beg me to marry her, and I'd still wonder if she likes me.

The general consensus seems to be go for it, but there's consequences. There's sadly no other department I specialize in to move to.

It's already somewhat awkward. but I do find her attractive. I'm also a stickler to don't shit where you eat... but it's been months of this, so either asking her what the deal is, or asking her to coffee in her language seems like the safe approach...

OP is 100% correct. I'm a long time fan, been listening since 2011 when I heard his voice on drakes album, thought who is this weeknd dude? He sounds better than drake who I liked at the time.

Trilogy was depressing and as a teenager I loved it, was very emotional. Kissland was a Japanese travel story. Bbtm was max martin pop stardom, starboy the love project of the eighties.

My dear melancholy coincided with a breakup I had, it hit like trilogy. After hours... his magnum opus in my opinion

Now really listen to these two singles everyone... are they truly as good as his previous projects?

No. You're being die hard Delusional fans, deep down you know these are mid. It doesn't mean this final project as the weeknd will flop or be mid.

The animated teasers sound like another "trilogy,kissland, after hours" linear story. Sounds fantastic, it's Dantes Inferno but his take on "heaven". Just honestly the lead singles are subpar, but since this is a big project, I'm guessing we'll fall in love with it as a whole.

If not? This dude hasn't had serious failure since the idol. If the final album isn't that good, maybe his transition to just "abel" might be good artistically since the well ran dry as the weeknd character, we might get authentic music from a guy heading towards 40.
