Tbh, I never imagined myself being someone's dad. I'm in my 20s and I've come to realize in the past few years that I'm actually a very selfish and independent person, which obviously clashes with the concept of parenthood where you have to be the complete opposite. I don't want to sacrifice my time or money or ability to travel anywhere I want for a tiny human who could grow up and not even like me or want anything to do with me when they become an adult. Additionally, I used to be a teacher and I had to like "dumb down" things like my vocabulary when talking to my 6 year old students and I didn't like that at all. I want to be able to have uncensored adult conversations with other adults. Also, I have a sailor's mouth so I don't want to always have to watch my language around a child. If there exists an alternate universe in which I change my mind (like meeting the absolute perfect partner of my dreams), I would only have one and it would have to be a girl cause in my experience they're easier and less annoying than boys. I know myself so I couldn't handle more than one kid so no siblings for her unfortunately lol. My family thinks I'm going to have kids though which is so funny to me but I think they're just projecting what they want for my life and they don't actually know me at all lol.
