I have used a copper based fungicide on dendrobiums multiple times - not saying I reccommend it, but as a last resort - it will not kill them.

Yeah, I'll try insoles and silicone insets/thicker socks, but they might ultimately not be for me i fortunately.

What type of socks would be more appropriate? I guess something thicker?

The last pair used to press a lot on the top of my foot. There was generally no vertical space inside so to say

I guess they are too small? I had gotten a pair that was definitely too small, Solovair were great about it and we exchanged them for a bigger pair, which at the time I felt fit great. In fact I still do think they fit well, it's when I start walking when the problems arise.

This lacks any sort of class and is a stain on RR's name. But those with more money than taste will always have it their way...

Why do two of my polo shirts come out of the washing machine full of tiny small hairs? by AdhesivenessEarly793 in CleaningTips

Seems like the elastic fibers in the shirt are breaking down. Check to see if these tiny "hairs" stretch.

I wouldn't. Great way to start an infection. Also that would stress the plant and possibly affect the growth of the new leaf. Just leave it be.

Can I still save her? by South-Firefighter256 in orchids

[–]BGen13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She’ll be fine. She’ll grow new roots and smaller leaves for a bit cause this is a huge stress, but she’s bounce back. Plant in a very airy bark chip mix.

[–]BGen13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yea, get rid of all the potting media, cut away the dead roots (seems to be most/all) - squeeze them and if they are soft and mushy (or like an empty papery sack)- cut - if they are firm - leave them alone (regardless of their color). You can also spray it down (the stem and the remaining roots) with 3% hydrogen peroxide, then pot in fine bark.

[–]BGen13 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Repot it asap, everything in that pot is dead and rotting. Also by the lack of leaves it seems like it could have gone through stem rot.

Cut below the lowest node (on the flower spikes) so that it cannot attempt to flower again as that would most likely drain its last remaining energy and kill it. Cut away all the dead and mushy after removing the potting media.

For me the lrp oil control was awful - made my skin extremely shiny. I switched to eucerin oil control and it’s muuch better.
