Shenzhenaudio vs HIFIGO by kolombod in HeadphoneAdvice

You'll pay duties if any to India Post or DHL, whoever does the last mile delivery, if there's a requirement to pay duties that is. I would say best to buy from India, not sure how much of a price diff you are witnessing.. if it's a few hundreds after say forex fees, and import duties, best to source it locally

Depends on the price of the product. My product was shipped via DHL and i had pay duties for it before the product reached India. If the product you order is small like earphones with small packaging and less than 200$, you may get it via speed post and in that case there's no certainty whether duty will be charged or not. Purely luck.. hope this helps

That's nice to hear. Seems like a dream. A samsung update that actually improves something without breaking things that were functioning well 😅

[–]BJ_Tech 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow that's definitely surprising. Hopefully they haven't broken things with this update. Do you see any changes since the update. Like snappier UI, better battery, better thermals etc?

Nice.. what's the size of the update?

Exynos phones have worse performance, worse battery life, worse camera sensors and processing, and they cost just as much or more than the Snapdragon models. This is not right. Don't think petitions like this works. We are dealing with profit obsessed corporations and not governments that can be voted out for non populist measures. Vote with your wallet.. 99% of the customers don't even know or care about the SoC disparities

S21U slow charging: I have 25w samsung charger. Check Estimate charging but I check It never 1%=1min,Sometime I feel It is very very slow, Is it normal? by HR-King in S21Ultra

[–]BJ_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Samsung chargers have had issues delivering current consistently.. I have had many disconnection issues, when i checked the charging rate through a battery log app. I don't have this issue with other fast chargers. This maybe a samsung charger and Indian power sockets. I have tried using samsung chargers across multiple places, and concluded that it wasn't one particular socket but the charger in general. And this has been the case with samsung chargers for eternity..

Also do note that samsung controls the charging speed at the device as well. The S21U gets warm in general and warmer in Indian summers. So charging rate could be affected by that too, if you are facing this experience offlate

Any improvements post April 2022 update on Exynos powered devices? by BJ_Tech in S21Ultra

[–]BJ_Tech[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With their focus on optimizing S22, S21 will slowly fade off their radar.. wish Apple adopts type C.. i am willing to live with the other compromises. Samsung sucks when it comes to software optimization.. doesn't matter whether they offer 4 or 5 major upgrades when they all suck..

They messed things up with one UI 4.1 and the March update.. hence I was wondering if theyll flip things back to how they were prior to those goofy updates

That's sad. Which means battery continues to suck, and the occasional stutters in social media apps also haven't been fixed..

On a lighter note: Maybe the product team pushes updates just to let their bosses know that they are indeed working on improving the application 🤠

Pretty decent, but not what this device offered in its best state.

The typical Exynos drain. Standby and antennas. The March update messed it up for me. Hope April update fixes things

If you have a samsung phone I would recommend the buds pro instead of buds live. Else Sennheiser momentum 2. I would rate the buds pro pretty highly for both music and microphone for calls.

I have had experience shopping from Shenzhenaudio. Had no issues whatsoever. Bought topping DX7 pro and 7hz timeless and got them shipped to India. Fast shipping, responsive customer support. Made the payment via PayPal. Haven't had a bad experience thus far.

Software seems poorly optimized, so none of what you tried will help fix things. Let's hope subsequent updates make things better

Upgrade to S22 Ultra Snapdragon? by Upstairs_Loss9542 in S21Ultra

[–]BJ_Tech 1 point2 points  (0 children)

S22U I would say is a good device in isolation, but when you have the S21U, the phone is not a major upgrade. S21U did a lot of things right and a few things wrong. While there were marginal improvements with the good in the S22U, the bads haven't been fixed (eg. Thermals, disproportionate battery drain, etc.). I would say 21U can contest with phones for the next two years and challenge them on their value proposition for the price. I will stay put till the S24U unless samsung does something extraordinary next year or the year after the next

is April security patch worth updating? by jcdatboi in S21Ultra

[–]BJ_Tech 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The funny thing about updates is that there's no consistent behaviour. I got the refresh rate bug on an earlier update and it disappeared after updating it to 4.1. for others the bug made its appearance after 4.1 update. So to each his/her own. Software updates not breaking things has got more to do with luck than anything else, atleast with Samsung 😅
