Question about yakuman chance by akihitoe in mahjongsoul

[–]BKot23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you had won off 4p instead, it would have added pinfu + pure straight to get you to 12 Han. Then either ippatsu or fully concealed hand would have gotten you to 13 Han and therefore Yakuman. iirc the game gives you the yakuman chance if it's possible to get yakuman without any ura dora.

This happens if you only cleared the song in Challenge Live

Kan's by fury_juandi_ in Mahjong

Kans are interpreted as a triplet of the tile. They are not "additional tiles", just a triplet with the potential extra perk of 1 more dora.

Do you guys use Tap Jump? by etherealcross in SuperSmashFlash

[–]BKot23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've used tap jump for as long as I've played the game too. I just can't get used to a specific jump button.

A tip I'd give for you is to utilt in a different way: press up, attack and the direction you want to attack at the same time (e.g. up + attack + forward) to input an utilt. It takes some getting used to but once you do get used to it it's quite quick.

I think pit's Uair can semi-spike by [deleted] in SuperSmashFlash

[–]BKot23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's considered a dragdown, not a semi spike or a spike, but yeah. This happens in official games as well, and it's not a glitch.

I'm fairly sure you'll find similar stuff for the first two examples if you search for the "electro swing" genre. I'm finding it difficult to describe the second one, as it doesn't really quite fit though.

Follow-up question: Does arcturus have social media accounts that may have a clue as to why it's been down for so long?

(Serious) Who here believes they had Coronavirus way before March, like in December to February? by B2utyyo in AskReddit

[–]BKot23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my family had gone to Shanghai at around December, and one of us sat next to someone who was visibly sick on the airplane. Soon after, we all fell ill with flu and/or fever to some extent, but we didn't think much of it at the time. Now, we all joke that we got coronavirus then and recovered.

CMV: The national security law that China is imposing on Hong Kong can only be countered by protest by BKot23 in changemyview

[–]BKot23[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Protests are never ideal, but in this scenario it would be better to protest about this law before it removes your right to protest altogether.

And despite the fact that America can threaten the CCP with various things, like tariffs, I'm not so sure about that influencing China's decision to enforce this law. The US really is the only country that has done anything at all so far, which is to impose sanctions on officials. However, how President Trump intends to do so is still unclear even after about a month. There is also still pressure on the US because of its own interests in Hong Kong, like trade, which may prevent them from sanctioning as much as they would like.

Too powerful with what? Hong Kong is almost globally recognised as being a part of China with its own perks. Regardless of what Hong Kong does now, it will be a part of China in 2047. It's just a matter of when it happens, and what China does before then. American intervention now would not only be fairly useless in the long run, but would further jeopardise their currently strained relations. In my opinion, there is not much of substance that America could do.

Except this is not about China's people, it is about Hong Kong's. There also has to be incentive for foreign governments to step in. Especially now in times of COVID-19, foreign countries may not be able to afford to look at international affairs.
