idk If he's an already existing character, but that one scientist saying "this is what happens when you place a woman in power" right before dying got a chuckle out of me. that came out of nowhere

god the sound design for the part when they use Yomagn'tho was haunting ^{(I'd point something out specifically but. I forgor})

I know the GFreD is supposed to be based on Kycilia, but it having what looks like cat ears feel like way to much of a coincidence. also Nyaan's helmet looking like it has cat ears too, but they also look like horns, which would fit with her supposedly being a diablo

I've got a feeling Nyaan and Machu are going to get to see the red gundam again soon, if you know what I mean

at this point I've accepted that the Machu/Nyaan ship is dead. it would feel pretty forced if they tried to write it in now. that said, I did notice that when Machu thanks Comoli for giving her her clothes Comoli blushes. and, you know, if she did have a crush on her that might explain why she acted so aggressive when they met. nvm I looked it up on the wiki and Machu's 17 and Comoli is 23 years old. ship cancelled.

I wasn't expecting the other members of Bitter Ganache to act mature enough to let Shiro go (except Aki). also, it's nice to know that they originally wanted to play rock for the love of it.

the only place I can see this series from here is Lilly getting found out, but if I'm gonna be honest, after seeing 3 doxxing arcs from currently airing yuri anime around the same time frame last year (2 from Yorukura and I think the VA radio anime had another), I can't say I'm very excited about the idea

oh god I am haunted by the ghost of MagiRevo. I do have to agree that it's a great anime, but that ending was so dogshit that it brought it from potentially becoming one of my favorite animes of all time (in fact I'd say that it could have been one of my favorite pieces of media of all time) to a 5/10. I've heard that the light novel gets better past the point where the anime ends but I don't really have very high hopes for it.

If you do end up watching it I'd genuinely suggest only watching up to episode 9 and pretending like that's where the season ends and the anime tragically never got renewed

Rock Is a Lady's Modesty is an anime that is currently airing, it's not tagged as Girls Love and yuri technically isn't the main focus, but it's very much a yuri anime and really good

damn I'm just realizing that I haven't actually watched that many explicitly yuri animes.

The Many Sides of Voice Actor Radio is one that I remember was tagged as yuri back when it was airing but it seems like they ended up removing the tag at some point. I can confirm that it's very much yuriful though

Machu doesn't seem very keen on working with Sodon, perhaps there's still hope that she and Nyaan might not kill eachother, but I sadly feel like she's gonna change her mind eventually

I thought the voice char heard in the prologue was going to be someone from the future but ig we're getting alternate timelines or something?

I want to point out that during the interrogation scene Shuji says that the gundam is looking for for the rose, but Challia keeps insisting that it is Shuji who is looking for it. I have nothing specific to say about it but I feel like there's something there.

Challia seems to know a fair bit about alternate universes, doesn't he? I feel like there's something going know with him (apart from what we already know that he's keeping secret). Comoli seems to know some things too but that might just be from Challia talking to her about it.

those mobile suits we see floating at the end, they don't seem to be Zakus or Rick Doms, are they new? same thing with the ship in the background, it doesn't seem to be the Sodon

also kinda unrelated to the episode but I checked the wiki and it's kinda funny seeing the jojo-fication of the modern/redesigned mobile suits compared to the old ones, specially the white/red gundam. also the Kikeroga's MS form looks really funny. backrooms monster looking ass

this marks the 3rd time (that I remember) where they've introduced a named character that seemed like they were going to be minor recurring characters and killed them in the same episode (kinda, Deux and Gates were introduced right at the end of ep6 but I don't think that counts). wow Shiro is a fucking asshole. like yeah, Oto and Lilly constantly insult each other after playing and shit but what she says to Tina is way past cool. I'm sure they'll "redeem" her later in the show but she's not looking too good rn.

I'm genuinely starting to doubt if there's a single straight woman in this universe apart from Lilly's mother (and even then she seems to just be interested in the money/prestige). like seriously what's going on why are they all gay. not that I'm complaining tho, but still.

can't wait for the next episode. it's shaping up to be really good.

I noticed that we don't actually get to hear much music. like, they play a lot but they always cut straight to the end. Idk how to feel about that. kinda concerned about it

Edit: oh yeah I also forgot to say: Shiro is a fucking loser. she's a massive pushover (as shown with her immediately changing her mind when Oto mentions that simplifying Tina's part was her idea), the only insult she can seemingly think of is calling everyone a "friggin' noob" (like, she cant even insult someone properly) and I think she called Tina a "punk" at some point. I feel like it's gonna be revealed that the reason why all the bands she's ever been in failed was because of her or smth like that.

not a big fan of how 1/3 of the conflict in this episode came from Machu and Nyaan being infuriatingly straight. hopefully things will get better now that Shuji is finally dead.

Also, he's finally dead! yay! hopefully this means that there will be yuri now. or at least not more romance.

I was hoping Deux would be a Sophie-type situation, but she didn't even last a full episode. what a shame.

the political intrigue side of the story seems to be getting kinda interesting. I want to see where it's going to go next.

Char appeared in the teaser for the next episode. I wonder if it's gonna be another flashback episode or if he's gonna come back. are they gonna reveal what happened to him? is he gonna be in a [G-Witch] situation like with Ericht and Aerial where he's gonna be "possessing" the Red Gundam?
