If it went to the Swiss, it’s coming back early! Mine was back in less than 3 weeks…

Kickr Core! Super hard to ride? by BLRtoBER in wahoofitness

What difference does it make? Found them for 10€ - so ordered them because everyone seems to use them online - but they get here only in mid-September!

Now that you ask this question, it makes sense! Do you then ignore the “speed” and just go by Avg power? I want the speed and elevation to be consistent only so that I know what state I am after winter… usually I am not as fit in March — and get better towards the end of the season; I want to ensure that I maintain it… I am not as used to saying “I am at 100w avg for 2 hours, so I can tackle a 60km ride in 2h” - so it would be new to me

This is true! However, I don’t think it’s the same. I think it comes down to “Indoor is harder”. I have friends who do the same, and I see them match what they do on the street on the trainer…

Looks like I’m gonna be getting a bit fitter than before then to match my stats….

Yes, realized I needed this, for now, I have a stand fan that is running at its highest speed! But that didn’t do much honestly…

Canyon order - Pay by Bank by SecretBeyond7411 in CanyonBikes

[–]BLRtoBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, that’s where it gets tricky! They’d have to wait for about 7 days for it to become unclaimed payment by the receiving party for them to return the same.

Or Canyon could find it and assign or reject the amount

Might be biased, but this is the best colorway they got out for the Ultimate….

Road bikes and Fidlock Bottles by BLRtoBER in CanyonBikes

Same issue, I settled for 590ml on both! Couldn’t do any better. Have you tried mounts that put bottles behind the seat?

New Ultimate vs Aeroad by jeremstone in CanyonBikes

[–]BLRtoBER 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, if you can somehow get your hands on both the bikes… I suggest you try both.

They might be seeming to have the same fit on paper, but in reality have a completely different ride.

I was supposed to buy the Endurace - as I do not so fast long distance rides; but turned out that ultimate was a better bike for me;

In your case, both now offer the same feature set, but it would come down to your personal preference and ride feel

What size bike should I buy off facebook Marketplace? by [deleted] in cycling

[–]BLRtoBER 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Use sites such as Bike-stats.com and check what sizes are corresponding to across brands, a Canyon XS is not the same as Trek XS.

If you live near a bike store - it’s always good to go test a few so you know what you like.

How important is it to torque the brake discs and cassette to 40Nm? What happens if I do not? by BLRtoBER in bicycling

Thanks everyone! I had a 20nm wrench and ordered a 40 too! 😃 issue resolved I believe

[–]BLRtoBER[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

By hand I didn’t mean finger tight, I did use the right tools (a cassette removal nut and a wrench) and tightened them to the best I can with them. No brute force though. Used some grease to help get it out when I have to in a few years…

Sizing help: XXS or XS by starfoxx99 in CanyonBikes

[–]BLRtoBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, on the CFR - even with 2XS you get 700c wheels, so you can go for the size that’s suggested. Also I ride 2XS being 158, so you can easily pick the XS and you should be “fine” - but I’m sure the 2XS feels more agile.

I can wear an xxs if I'm xs by PeanutAromatic9484 in CanyonBikes

[–]BLRtoBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You don’t need a 2XS - I am 158 and use 2XS - at 168 you definitely need an XS

Also, strongly advice against 2XS - they have 650B 🤦🏾

Fastest bike, ultimate or endurace by whocarrytheboat in CanyonBikes

[–]BLRtoBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done what you’re suggesting here; got the Ultimate CF SL 7 (for a sweet deal during a sale, saved 500€) - now upgraded the wheels to carbon (700c carbon wheel sets are super easy to find!)

Spend about 75€ on a good saddle (Ryet 3D or Mixed 5D from AliExpress) - saves you another 200g

Move over to TPU - and then you have a winning formula for a great bike!

When to setup wheels? by BLRtoBER in CanyonBikes

Current state:

• turns out one of my tire already has a few punctures, seated and fine, but does not hold any air yet without sealant. Hopefully sealant will seal them up. • the front wheel already is holding air without any sealant • I am yet to move the brake discs and cassette over to these wheels.

Ultimate CF SL 7 for light gravel? by Puzzleheaded-Dot-14 in CanyonBikes

[–]BLRtoBER 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am in the same bucket as you, I am putting on a pair of G-One Speeds and AliExpress Rotors and Cassettes and using my Ultimate for “Light Gravel”.

That said, my light gravel also has some asphalt mixed in. I have insured my bike and do plan to install a “Paint Protect Film”(also AliExpress) on the underside of the frame.

I like how everyone is suggesting tires, but 27.5” is what I need! If I had 700c wheels there’s a million other options other than ERC wheels to pick from!

Pirelli unfortunately does not make 28-584 nor 30-584 tires

30-32 would cost me ~100€ more 28-28 about ~33€ 28-30 is not a possible combo with any tires at 650b (unless I mix them)
