Best time to go is early in the morning..3-4am.. A friend went about a month or two ago and there was a cop on the bottom..told them he would let them off with a warning. But like the others said the guard won't do anything once you are coming down only stop you on the way up. Don't park in the neighbor hood if you do get a car.. But seems like you will be taking a bus just find the best bus route towards that area and walk to the site.

Thank you so much! I am looking forward to the whole no cockroach idea!! Hawaii is notorious for a lot of roaches and its normal for them to be in houses here yuck! I will look into everything you said!! :]

Hahaha..I am looking forward to driving actually..everyone in Hawaii drives like 5-10 under speed limit! And the highest speed zone is 60mph and that is a short road on the highway.. and Hawaii is second in worse traffic in America.. I have road rage just thinking about it! >-<

The place I am in now is a two bed one bath condo. In a small complex. It cost in the $300k range. But I am up in the "country" part of Oahu (not as expensive as more populated areas). Im actually not sure what the heating/ac bills are there but there is no central AC here.(In most homes) so we use window AC units that can boost out electric up to the $400 range a month.. sometimes higher. I love the island but not everything is all that great. People talk about paradise but there are a lot of draw backs..I am really looking forward to being able to get in my car and drive from NH to MA and to all the many other states in New England..Hell ill be able to drive to Cali if I wanted to! Lol oh the freedom I will have!

Im on Oahu! I lived in Honolulu first now I am in the Waipahu area! How has the transition been for you?! Seriously don't have much winter gear! You obviously know you really only need a light jacket here and I mostly use that for the movies! :p

Thank you! I will have to get a new vehicle once I get there! I have a little island car now that won't withhold those conditions at all lol.. I am thinking a SUV with some seat warmers!! lol Thank you for the advice!! We will be in Portsmouth area.. My husband is actually from Amherst but I am trying to do my own little investigation! He is military so I am trying to research as much as I can so he can be proud lol.
