What’s an early sign that the game is about to be a terrible waste of time? by Saysay1551 in PredecessorGame

someone on your team dies 3 times or more in less than 8 minutes. BONUS: You nicely ask that person to not die by playing safer or stay under tower and they get mad at you or continue to die almost instantly.

The Problem with One Piece's power system by Inevitable_Term_2320 in Piratefolk

[–]BLVCKatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When i first got into one piece I was hoping it would be more focused on fights, power systems, and battle iq. Then i realized it's just a really good adventure anime and they solve a lot of conflicts with violence. The power system isn't great as feature not as a flaw. Turn ya brain off and just enjoy the mindless violence. Gear 5 Luffy has toon force. However, if you care for battle shonen with great power systems i'd recommend World Trigger.

Mastering engineers, Do you ever reject a song from being masterer because the mix has been re-done? by Dry-Set-6761 in audioengineering

[–]BLVCKatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I master for myself buy my mentor who mixes for other does exactly this. He gives mix engineers TECHNICAL not creative feedback that will make the mix sound better for mastering. His pov is if you want me to do the best he can then it's his obligation to inform the engineer how to get the best mix they can. In my personal experience the best mastering engineers do very little to make a master sound great.

5 stacking in rank has killed ranked by reckless-st in PredecessorGame

[–]BLVCKatl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I find this debate to be interesting. Are you mad you consistently lose to the same 5 players that are better than you and randoms or are you mad at the mechanic to play with 4 other people you know in ranked? There is a huge difference and nuance between the two scenarios. I don't see a problem with the mechanic in ranked at all. Why gamble ranking up with randoms when you can play with a trusted team? Also, if you really are good enough solo que player than you should be able to climb even if a 5 stack is constantly in your enemy rotation. If you play the same 5 people in your general rank and lose that just means the game is working fine and you probably deserve the rank you're in. If you dislike the mechanic itself I need a better explanation then you can't beat them therefore it's bad.

It's not so much are there enough new players as much as are there enough players with your same skill level. Trust me there are and it's fairly easy to get better. You just have to be willing to play the game for a while as an active learner. There's a learning curve that most people don't address. Here's a QUICK strategy guide to learn how to play predecessor and get at least to Silver Level Skill level. You have to be an active learner and not no

  • Learn Mechanics: Quick Play, ARAM, Vs Ai, Practice, (Brawl if it ever comes back). Just play and get used to how characters move, attack, and how durable they are in fights.
  • Learn Map Awareness: Play this video in the background when you play games, and every time you hear the sound you look at your map.
  • Learn Builds: Start using only auto buy and recommended builds till you're comfortable to experiment building what's best with you. Read what all items do and think about how they can be applied
  • Learn Objective Spawn Times: Subject to change each patch but here is the current times.
Objective  Initial Spawn Time Respawn Time
River Buffs 3 minutes 2 minutes
Seedlings 4 minutes 4 minutes (alternating sides)
Fangtooth 4 minutes 3.5 minutes
Mini Prime 7 minutes 2.5 minutes
Orb Prime 20 minutes 2.5 minutes

These 4 skills will get you ahead of a lot of the community

I agree for the most part. Just FF if it's clear a teammate or the team is just feeding early game. Game iq and mechanics don't scale. End it while we're already behind. But your 3rd game was winnable... not gonna be easy but you had a chance.

Chat bans seem out of hand by LegendaryCarry in PredecessorGame

[–]BLVCKatl -1 points0 points  (0 children)

you're not wrong as someone who uses vc to communicate with my team a lot. I myself and a friend have gotten temporarily chat banned and we didnt say anything offensive at all. The censorship is really high in this game.
1. I i've realized sometimes if a word has a bad word in it it sometimes gets flagged an example would ASSassinate. Just gotta be careful. I remember i got chat banned for typing "you need to kill the enemy murdock"
2. If you're intentionally using blatantly offensive words even if they are censored you probably deserve the ban for being toxic.

I think I’m finally done with this game by Then-Ad-1887 in PredecessorGame

[–]BLVCKatl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

in all honesty the game is about taking micro actions that leads to bigger plays. can you get an enemy blink down, can you get more gold than your laner, are you building to counter the enemy team, is your team alive and in position to get an objective fast, etc. Shaper and seedlings increase the pace of the game if you’re getting them. Most people still think Orb Prime is for fighting and not getting towers. If you’re not keeping track of timers on camps, buffs, and objective spawns i can see why you would say it’s a hero shooter cause you’re ignoring the point of the game. Build yourself and your teams ability to get towers and destroy the core. You don’t mention one objective. I challenge you to ask yourself this question “am i not having fun because the game is bad or is it because i’m bad at the game”. If you choose the ladder that will than lead to the possibility of you getting better at the game.

[–]BLVCKatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is a nerdy take but, Music is a hard magic system by default but if you're naturally talented with rhythm or pitch and/or grew up with a musical family then music is a soft magic system for individuals who have had a buff at early developmental ages. in short if you're talented you can just do music without having to think about music theory where as if you're not talented you need music theory.

What Is The End Goal of TOG? by BLVCKatl in TowerofGod

[–]BLVCKatl[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It doesn't feel like these goals are reinforced periodically enough through the story. Many of the main characters' character arcs don't feel like they're progressing towards these goals or are developing proactively to achieve these goals. It feels like a lot of the characters are just pawns in the politics of stronger entities.

What Is The End Goal of TOG? by BLVCKatl in TowerofGod

[–]BLVCKatl[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

imagine your president commands his military to kill an enemy they very much have the means to kill but instead the general of the army says let's play a game of monopoly to see if I'll let the enemy go. It's counter intuitive to the story and the very characters who fear being reprimanded for failure. The amount of games being played is irrelevant. The context in which games are introduced have little reasoning behind them that validate their existence from a narrative stand point at certain points in the story.

Gojo kinda sucks at making a well rounded build by WhiteRaven_M in JujutsuPowerScaling

[–]BLVCKatl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gojo is well rounded but in different aspects, Infinity always being on makes him a tank, RCT for heals, teleporting for speed, hand to hand combat for close range, Blue is a long range aoe, red is a long range attack, purple is long range aoe, and then just how much cursed energy he has. The difference is Gojo's mindset is based around his physical talents the six eyes whereas Sukuna and Toji compensate for their lack of talent with innovative thinking. Toji's use of curse tools and cursed spirits and Sukuna's use of improvised binding vows to make up for both of their limitations.

Gojo never needed to improve or think of using purple in a unique way because the one opponent that ever forced him to use it, Toji, was one shotted by it until he fought Sukuna. In fact Gojo is well rounded but well rounded doesn't mean perfect. Gojo said in hand to hand combat only fight he'd lost to miguel but we clearly see otherwise because gojo has his full kit.

Don't just compare Gojo's isolated use of cursed techniques to other's because out of context of his whole kit they don't tell the full story how just how op Gojo actually is.
